I believe that many people who have a high conscious, those who operate on a higher frequency, are very much into art, music, etc. A few of the bands that really seem like they want to wake people up, or have the capability to, or are just waking up themselves, I believe are these, for example:

Massive Attack
Alanis Morissette
John Lennon
Kurt Cobain
Muse
Nine Inch Nails
Evanescence
Pink
Avril Lavigne

Also, I think that the trip hop genre is very full of conscious-minded composers.

What do you think?

I'm not too sure about this thing...

I-Doser Free - Download.com

I-Doser is a program designed to give users "binaural beat doses" to "sync their brainwaves." It's a music-only media player that takes only DRG files. We'll let users speculate as to the meaning of DRG. These doses, according to the theory, are to align your mood with the theme of the dose. The two included doses, "Alcohol" and "Content," have a not-so-subtle intended effect.

While I would say yes to a couple of the people on your list, for me music is usually a more 'highly conscious' thing when there are no lyrics. So jazz, ambient music, some classical stuff, gamelan... Words are something to focus on, they narrow the attention.

I'm just describing my preference (which isn't total anyway), not trying to attack or convert anyone.

Cheers and happy active listening!

Underdog

Kill me if you dare
Hold my head up everywhere
Keep myself right on this train

I'm the Underdog
Live my life on a lullaby
Keep myself riding on this train
Keep myself riding on this train

Love in technicolour, sprayed out on walls
Well I've been pounding at the pavement
'Til there's nothing at all
I got my cloak and dagger
In a bar room brawl
See the local loves a fighter
Loves a winner to fall

Feels like I'm lost in a moment
I'm always losing to win
Can't get away from the moment
Seems like it's time to begin

Kill me if you dare
Hold my head up everywhere
Keep myself right on this train

I'm the Underdog
Live my life on a lullaby
Keep myself riding on this train
Keep myself riding on this train

It don't matter
I won't do what you say
You've got the money and the power
I won't go your way
And I can't take for the people
They don't matter at all
And I'll be waiting in the shadows
'Til the day that you fall

Feels like I'm lost in a moment
And I'm always losing to win
Can't get away from the moment
Seems like it's time to begin

Kill me if you dare,
Hold my head up everywhere
Keep myself right on this train

I'm the Underdog,
Live my life on a lullaby
Keep myself riding on this train

Tell me if you're down
Throw your weapons to the ground
Keep myself riding on this train

Paper on the wire
Sold your soul for another one
Keep myself riding on this train
Keep myself riding on this train
