I believe that what causes depression is losing connection with the wholeness of who you are. What causes the loss of connection, I believe is the constant attacks from fear. Others affected by fear affect you, much like a virus spreads.

Also, other things can stem from depression. Manifestations like OCD, eating disorders, etc.

Depression is about forgetting who you are.. You sense that you're being fed lies. You feel trapped. Solution? Pills.. this just seems stupid, in my opinion.. I have a bad feeling for them.

If people go through depression and realize why, maybe they can wake up. Usually though, they don't. They become the robotic-brained sort of people and believe that this is life. "Sheeple".

Do you know anyone that is depressed? Have you gone through depression? What do you think about this?

When your depression manifests itself try thinking what has changed from yesterday when I was happy. Likely nothing. So then ask yourself , then why be depressed? Remember, YOU are your biggest enemy!!

I agree with you. I feel that fear and aggression from others around you can affect you too (like in the Celestine Prophecy :)).

Althought I do think that in some cases constant illness can leave you depleted of the vitamins and minerals that you need to produce feelings of happiness. Other times it can just be a matter of being stuck in a life that you don't want but can't escape from without hurting others.

I've been 'awake' for years and it doesn't make me feel any happier. ;)

I agree with you, there is a real mind/body connection, it is a symbiotic one, you cannot separate either element from the other and health as a whole both mental and physical should be addressed as a whole package.

I think that is why regular exercise is so important as it re-establishes and strengthens the mind/body connection, making us moer aware of our physical bodies and thus our mental selves - if that makes any sense, sorry if it does not.

afaik, depression is to do with fear. and you cant have fear AND love in the same time.
the fear is just feeding the lower 4th dimension, which is what they want.

so love is the answer to freedom , health and all that means. :)

good thread !

In the movie "Food Matters" they talk alot about depression. Apparently niacin is excellent for combatting depression........eating lots of cashews is recommended.
