The United Nations called on Tuesday for a new global reserve currency to end dollar supremacy which has allowed the United States the "privilege" of building a huge trade deficit.
"Important progress in managing imbalances can be made by reducing the reserve currency country?s 'privilege' to run external deficits in order to provide international liquidity," UN undersecretary-general for economic and social affairs, Sha Zukang, said.
Speaking at the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank in Istanbul, he said: "It is timely to emphasise that such a system also creates a more equitable method of sharing the seigniorage derived from providing global liquidity."
He said: "Greater use of a truly global reserve currency, such as the IMF?s special drawing rights (SDRs), enables the seigniorage gained to be deployed for development purposes," he said.
The SDRs are the asset used in IMF transactions and are based on a basket of four currencies -- the dollar, euro, yen and pound -- which is calculated daily.
China had called in March for a new dominant world reserve currency instead of the dollar, in a system within the framework of the Washington-based IMF.

wow, who could've ever seen this coming!? :rolleyes:
The good news: It won't be long before people realize that us "crazy conspiracy theorists" weren't so crazy (or theoretical) after all. :cool:

Not being cynical,but i thought this was supposed to have happened a few weeks ago...no, i think it was a few months ago.....dammit,it was supposed to happen errrrrrm a while ago i think............guess you are the same person that thinks that NASA will find water on the moon....hahha

you serious? People have been talking about this for the longest time. David Icke was probably the first to lay out exactly how it would unfold (what is happening now to a tee) over 10 years ago. Only recently has the ptb publicly called for it. No one has ever said it was going to happen over night though; it's a process. ;)

guess you're one of those people that dismisses the structures on the moon as being nothing noteworthy!

Bad news is, with everything else coming down the pipe: chaos from economic collapse, global war, pestilence, and I'll even throw in supernatural phenomenon for the hell of it (UFO's, atmospheric disturbances, etc.), after all that crap, the broken, battered, and bewildered people will buy whatever they're selling hook, line, and sinker.

unless the truth movement (for lack of a better label) gets off our arse and dedicate ourselves over the coming months/years to spreading the truth about all this. We just need to get to the people before they do. We should be out demonstrating in small groups a few times a week imo.

can i just say that theorys are based on fact..
where as a hypothesis is based on conjecture..
thus conspiracy theory, has some foundation..:)
