Patients will be fitted with a microchip in their shoulder to remind them to take their medicine, under a new scheme being developed by a drugs company.

Older people will be given pills containing a harmless microchip that sends a signal to the chip in the shoulder when the pill is taken.

But if the pill is not taken by the forgetful patient, the chip in the shoulder will then send a text to a carer or the patient to remind them.

My Mum, with whom I spent lunchtime today feeding her her lunch as she can't do it for herself, has Altzheimers.

My Mum used to be as bright as any one of us on this forum and was one of those people to whom all ages could go for help and advice....

Whatever happens, my mother will NOT be microchipped OR vaccinated.
It will be over my dead body....

It's up to each one of us who have parents who's minds are deteriorating to resist any such barbaric/satanic/luciferian behaviour such as microchipping by taking full responsibility ultimately for our familes but initially, for ourselves.

It's terribly cynical, is it not? They figure noone will care for the elderly enough to protest.

Good for your mother and for you.

What? I've retired and I really don't have a desire to fight anything in life, I want to relax, do what you want to me.

Kill me with these medications so my house can be filled with consumeristic yuppies who will pay lots and lots of taxes

:D

This is absolutely outrageous.

Just evil.

Good on the posters who are set to refuse.

There was a debate on here about vaccines. Now, I'm not sure on that one but this is bulls--t. I'd literally break anyone who tried to do this to one of my nearest and dearest. Let alone me personally.

Worst story I've read all year.

Sadly I believe we are now in the minority.

I can't see this selfish, morally corrupt society, thats been created under our noses, really being bothered ..
After all most adult Children just throw their parents into some retirement/care home..today...My cousin manages one of them, its so sad most can't even be bothered to visit them.

yeah people laugh at me when i tell them im living at home looking after my mum ( she's 60% deaf with a crippled left leg)
Mum has made it clear she would rather be dead than be microchipped or vaccinated now.

unfortunately what goes around comes around and everyone gets older, these people that laugh now are going to be very sorry in the future

One thing that did give me some hope was checking the comments box at the bottom of the Daily Mail article. I don't associate DM readers with great radicalism, but they were about 30 dead against the measure and using words like "totalitarian", with just 3 in favor.

I think it's important to remember the media often tries to give the impression of consensus where none exists.
