I personally haven't. So I'm reading this book now called "Adventures Beyond the Body: How to Experience Out-of-Body Travel" and it's pretty interesting. You can go to amazon.com and read the first few pages, and apparently it's been given good reviews. I heard of the book from David Wilcock on a radio interview posted on Youtube....

Anyway for those not familiar with what out-of-body experiences are...It's supposedly a state where your consciousness leaves your physical body with practice. It's said that you have to get extremely relaxed and repeat words in your mind, or repeat visual exercises in your mind (the book lists lots of techniques) to induce this. It says that you'll feel an intense vibrational feeling and then hear loud cracks like gunshots, and there you suddenly float out of your body.... It says that if you think of your physical body you'll go right back to your physical state and you'll have to do it over again. People report that they can fly, think extremely clearly, stick their hands in "solid" objects and walk through walls....

Check this stuff out. I haven't had an OOBE yet, but that doesn't say I won't.

Please keep in mind that books tend to offer hard and fast explanations on how to bring about an OBE, what it should feel like, what should happen first, what should happen next etc. All of which just comes of the back of one persons experience, there is an awful lot of disinfo out there. I've been having these experiences naturally and unintentionaly since childhood and most of what I have read on books/forums/websites don't explain the way it happens to me. Just keep your mind open or you can actually shut out pure experience.

I agree 100% ... I've had Astral travel experiences, also 'visions' and communication from "spirit" since I was a kid too.. though I didn't know that was what they were called at the time.

I only started reading books about Spirit stuff (NDE's and 'life after death') a few years back, when absolutely loads of Spirit type stuff started happening all at once, most of which I couldn't understand why at first, and it and freaked me out somewhat.. especially as it was happening several times a ay and through the night too.. which was utterly exhausting, physically and mentally.

Most of these experiences happen naturally.. not just OBE's, but encoutners with Spirit and so on... and yes, there is a ton of disinfo and also confusing info out there.. my view is it's best to relax and just let yourself be open it, rather than try to "learn" how to experience something.

What's meant to be will be.. don't 'force' anything... let it come naturally if it is intended to.

:)

Definately the highlight of my life - the Out Of Body Experiences. Fantastic, I'm just so pissed off that I can't seem to do them anymore

Did you see anyone observing you when you were doing it? Because the book and other places talk about a personal guide that appears if you request it, or if you stand in one spot and concentrate you might see a figure observing you silently. It's weird. Any idea about this?

Reading Astral Dynamics currently.

The author describes how everyone basically practices OBE and those who wish to indue OBE's on their own from trance state or meditation nearly always succeed but very few of them succeed in getting the memory, so most people think they fail all the time when they only fail at remembering.
He goes further saying that when you go OBE you not only go into one dimension, but your body projects multiple bodies such as etheric body, RTZ body and astral body into their respective dimensions transmitting memory of the information experienced to the brain, however the brain can only store one memory (of one body) for one given time period, and the most dominant (mostly the lowest) experience gets the permanent memory spot in the brain.
He suggests that when people go OBE, they should make it a somewhat significant experience like short, dramatic or emotional in order to give the brain a signal of significance so this particular experience gets through to the memory storage.

Memory processing in higher dimensions it seems, is so much more restricted that everytime you go to these higher dimensions it's as if you're going there for the first time, atleast as long as your base level of consciousness is the physical body.

Robert Bruce is awesome.

Yes - on one occasion I had a Praying Mantis type being starring at me through my bedroom wall - this being was entire benevolent. And on another occasion I met a woman who confirmed that I was out of my body when I asked her. I have also encountered "astral wildlife" - often lurking in the shadows and attempting to frighten me. One time I heard the voices of children which were laughing and joking about me. I decided that I wasn't to be intimidated by these astral entities and actually did a good job scaring them away! (Let them know who's boss!)

Robert Bruce told me that the woman I met wasn't a guide, she was just a thought form created by my higher self. I highly recommend his book, 'Astral Dynamics', it's like a bible to me. :)

Yes, just once years ago. I was reading about lucid dreaming and was doing some of the methods in the book. I was having strange dreams about paranormal activity and I remembered that it was a sign that I was dreaming. I "woke" up in the dream. Then I was aware of being in bed, but couldn't move. I heard footsteps coming into the room. I tried to not be terrified. I suddenly got the sensation of being rocked back and forth. I then fell through the bed! I traveled around the room and went through the wall and was outside. I then 'snapped' back into my body.
Very interesting experience! :D

That's exactly the way it goes sometimes! The rocking back and fourth sensation, the hearing noises feeling precenses, the not being able to move - sometimes you cant even see properly and feel like you really need to strain your eyes. I have been jettisoned through by bedroom before right out into space at an incredible speed and seen the earth briefly. OBEs are awesome!

About a year and 2 months ago I had smoked a great bowl of hashish at a bar on main street, went inside and started having a long conversation with my good friend and I remember vividly seeing myself in the 3rd person watching me watch myself have a conversation with full control of what im doing for about 30 seconds tripped me right out and when I told my friend about the experience he said I looked normal.

Yes, it's interesting how many people have similar experiences!
