mirrors trap us

think about the whole 7 years bad luck thing. i mean what's that shit about?

i envy my cat

when i put him in front of the mirror he doesn't seem to relate to it

maybe what he sees is something different

In the Victorian times mirrors wur really expensive things and only large manner houses had them. The servants who wur unfortunate enough to brake one had the cost deducted from ther pay, it wud have taken them about 7 years to pay of the debt this is wer the saying came from ( Brake a mirror and you get 7 years of bad luck)

Sometimes mirrors show us more about ourselves than we like to admit. Sometimes a mirror is what we use to built up our ego. There is more to mirrors than the mirror image though. I believe that mirrors shows a reflection of our world, but it isnt the exact reflection. Why do the stories say that vampires do not see themselves in mirrors? Why all the superstition about mirrors?

If any of you have studied spells and magick, you have probably found that many spells uses a mirror of some kind. Mirrors do not lock us in this world, but are what I like to think of as portals to another dimension. Which one might depend on the mirror. Mirrors might even be able to trap a soul of someone dying near them. Vampires probably cannot reflect, because they either do not want to be seen in them, because they have no soul, or because they simply are not of this world anymore. Im only saying vampire to use it as an explanation. I do not believe in vampires myself, but the stories about them is probably based on something, even though it probably is not immortal blood suckers

Anyone had any special experiences with mirrors of some kind?

Yea, mirrors are risky business on psychedelics. A quick trip to the bathroom becomes a half-hour epic reflection of your own ego when you see your face, and terrible things may happen. I know a lot of people can't look at mirrors in this state because it actually disturbs them, but its never bothered me much. I just trip myself out and wonder why I bought these damn Buddy Holly glass frames.

Hehe :) Never thought about mindtrips might make mirrors different. At most I have tried sleeping pills, and then having to go to the bathroom after my mind already went to sleep :D I think that is just about the same as tripping. Cannot really focus on anything. My mind has a bad habit of fighting off the effect of sedatives, when it is racing. I have never taken any sleeping pills for more than a week in a row though, so it should not be because I have become somewhat immune to them. It is usually months between my needs of a sleeping pill or two. If I do have sleeping problems, I usually rather just skip one nights sleep and then sleep the night after instead. I do not remember looking into a mirror in that state of mind though. Guess I could try that if I get the chance again.

hehe :) Those cats sure are cute. Funny how it keeps itself ready to attack so long, but never makes the first move. Good thing another cat comes to help it figure out what that devilish device is all about :D
