"The Crown Prosecution Service says there is sufficient evidence to charge a police officer with the assault of a protester during London's G20 protests.
Demonstrators posted footage on Youtube of a police officer striking Brighton woman Nicola Fisher on 2 April 2009.
Ms Fisher, 35, was one of two women to complain about the conduct of the Sgt Delroy (Tony) Smellie.
Prosecutors say there is insufficient evidence to charge the officer in relation to the second complaint." http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8279001.stm

How the Cosmos works Candygirl - I woke up this morning, with those awful images of the robocop/jack-booted thugs in Pittsburgh on my mind, which then wandered to thinking about Mr Tomlinson and what had happened to the British (?) thug who pushed him over in broad daylight...resulting in his death....
Unless the police, military and legal system wakes up, the future for us all, them included, looks pretty bleak.
The law doesn't work.
The charges against him will be secretly dropped, where he will then be recruited by one of the Internal security agencies because he has shown he is not impeded by a moral standing.

Very bleak indeed.
There is no law now other than martial law now, it's 'in' now just under the guise of normal police procedures.
It's going to get far worse than what we have now i'm sure.
Shooting innocents in the head in full publc view Tomlinson being shoved to his death then Pittsburgh thugs in a way i feel we are all speeding to the actual declaration of Martial Law v soon and i am sure a lot would agree with that.

I think the media's personal slating of the police in recent months, that has been extensive, is being done to seperate the state and the people, they want the police to be marginalised, and also a scapegoat for anger to be placed on during the receession, as the government doesn't care about the police, neither do the the powers at be who control the government suprise suprise. Also when you have people desensitised, and critcized constantly, they will feel more justified to carry out possible (possible, no self fullfilling prophecy here :D) evil laws, thats when shit hits the fan. As currently i couldn't imagine our police and military, putting people into extermination camps for the new labour party or gordon brown.
Not exactly related to the article, but you know its around the subject. As for the cop, smelly ^^ who knows, he may be a scapegoat, having a bad day and lost his rag, or he could have been a psychopath who has gotten away with all sorts.
i still find it amusing how the peaceful demonstration in trafalger square that day didn't recieve any attention from the press, oh my i wonder why ;)
