Here's an interview I recorded yesterday for BCB (Bradford Community Broadcasting) radio's 'Community Insight' programme. Presented by Riaz Ahmed, it's a regular show that discusses national/global news. It's due to be broadcast on 28th September at 4.30-5.00pm gmt. It can be heard at that time online at http://www.bcbradio.co.uk

Amongst many musical projects, I'm a singer/songwriter with a truth slant to my work. My song video 'The Robots' Rebellion' is on youtube. Check out the first myspace link below in my signature. I'm also a solo pianist, specialising in Indian film music, which you can hear on the second link. Two of my tracks are played as well as giving details of upcoming shows.

Enjoy. :)

Hi Clorazil, glad you enjoyed it, thanks. :)

I'm not aware of those effects on the links but I'll bring them to the attention of my friend who co-produces my songs. The last tune was an Arabic chill out/lounge cd that Riaz uses as theme music

Cool Grace Jones avatar, btw. I have her Nightclubbing album. Walking In The Rain and Private Life are awesome!

Brilliant!
You are a very talented artist and also play the piano beautifully.
I really enjoyed the song "It's In Your Face".

It was good to listen to the interview and hear a little bit more about you.
What language did you say your first name comes from?

Thank you Milla and will look forward to seeing Narinder today at the Leeds Truth Festival. it should be really good. :)

Emily, many thanks for your response and glad you enjoyed the show. I'm also pleased with "It's In Our Face"....Narinder actually inspired me to write the lyrics....one day I was emailing him whilst he was supposed to be working :D;) and he said "write a song about indoctrination" and I sent it to him half an hour later.

My name is Swahili or Kiswahili to be accurate but it is also the same in the Hausa language, btw.

Wonderful how inspiration comes, unexpectedly.
It's something about Narinder....that's how he "made me" write him poetry and a story :p

"I was emailing him whilst he was supposed to be working" :D;)
:D:D Aahhh! I know all about that! Silent sabotage!

Hope you had a great performance :)
