This was a repeating dream I had a while ago where somebody would shout the word "GLOM" to me. I had it several times before I looked the word up. I thought it was a nonsense word but it actually means something in English:
glom
One entry found.
Main Entry: glom
Pronunciation: \ˈgläm\
Function: transitive verb
Inflected Form(s): glommed; glom·ming
Etymology: alteration of English dial. glaum to grab
Date: 1907
1 : take, steal
2 : seize, catch
— glom on to : to grab hold of : appropriate to oneself <glommed on to her ideas>
I don't know the word so it is kind of funny it ended up in my dream. Does anyone have any particular association with it? And is it also an existing word in another language?
