This was a metaler's pub where a lot of people pretend to be hardcore and so wild and RAWKing, and girls pretend to be Avril Lavigne and also any generic female rock star. Boys try and pretend to be Dimebag Darrell, Vinnie Paul and other various rock stars. Me and my friends laugh at the idiots. Other pubs/clubs are worse. I choose a metaler's pub because at least I'm not surrounded by trampy whores pretending to be in Beyonce's new daylight porno (AKA "music video") or coke-sniffing scumbags pretending to be rappers........God help us......

Yes. I was in the pub last night (sober) 'til the early hours and just seeing how some people act.................really............what are they trying to BE?!

This was a metaler's pub where a lot of people pretend to be hardcore and so wild and RAWKing, and girls pretend to be Avril Lavigne and also any generic female rock star. I've been single for over 3 years now. I've dated, but it's difficult for me to date without getting emotional or going off on a tangent about all of this stuff. When I do find someone who gets it all and sees things alternatively, she's either not interested or there's something about them that's a total turn off.

I think you've been meeting the wrong type of women!Most of my friends and other girls I know clearly value men who are honest,truthful and sensitive.With added-on bonuses of sense of humour,independence,compassion,depending on the person,of course.
But they seem to think that those guys are either taken or extinct!

I really think that we create our own reality.If you believe that you will not meet someone who you can love because most women are like this or that,then in a way you are inviting that to show up in your life.

mentogirl it's partly to do with how my X treated me and I've become like a woman scorned. I had faith after we finished, thought I'd meet a woman who liked me, but 3 and a half years later it's not happened and I don't think it ever will.
I look and feel like shit most of the time, due to being depressed and people playing with my emotions. I smoke 60 roll ups a day. It's a complicated issue me and the X but I don't wan't to go into it on here to personal, let's just say we are still tied together ( property, finances) is one thing.
And yes you're right about me having to heal my heart, it may help me to attract love from others and allow me to express more love to them.

Some of us guys are weak emotionally, when we've been hurt it's difficult to regain trust. Glad to hear as you say most women aren't just after money and value the things that matter, for a relationship to work in favour of both man and woman this is important.

What you've got to remember is that most people run on autopilot most of the time and in terms of woman you'll run into pre-programmed responses due to the media manipulating them of what they want. This of course applies to men too, but it seems for us it is one of supplication in many respects as we usually have to play into the expectations created by the media.

First off I would drop the whole "poor me" angle as you've got to remember that your thoughts are broadcast like a radio and people will pick up on this even on a unconscious level and it's not very attractive. Plus, you seem co-dependant (from your posts, I could be way off) so you could become 'whole' in yourself (if that makes any sense) before you try and find someone, or any future relationship could descend.

But I think that we all have "polar beings" as Mouravieff would put it (or soul mates as a modern reference) so I would personally just enjoy yourself and use your time wisely to learn and grow, and just enjoy your own company. Somehow you'll meet her and look back on today and wonder what all the fuss was about - and if for some reason you don't - who cares - you're alive. ;)

The only limits you have are the ones you put on yourself.

There are techniques to "up your game", so to speak (supertzar touched on that)but I would just get on with living your life and just learn as much as you can as knowledge is invaluble and any girl worth talking too just loves knowledge (just look at the beautiful women on this forum.) ;) IMHO of course.

I think you've been meeting the wrong type of women!Most of my friends and other girls I know clearly value men who are honest,truthful and sensitive.With added-on bonuses of sense of humour,independence,compassion,depending on the person,of course.
But they seem to think that those guys are either taken or extinct!

I really think that we create our own reality.If you believe that you will not meet someone who you can love because most women are like this or that,then in a way you are inviting that to show up in your life.
