This will make it easier for them to control the sheeple by taking away their transportation in the future.
Good Luck!!!! :)
The Prince, who has two Jaguars, two Audis, a Range Rover and still drives an Aston Martin given to him by the Queen on his 21st birthday, said developers had a duty to put public transport and the pedestrian at the heart of their housing schemes.
Speaking about the “domination of the car over the pedestrian”, the future King said: “We must surely be able to organise ourselves... in ways in which we are not dependent on it to such a great extent for our daily needs."
The Prince said the principle of “elevating the pedestrian above the car” was one of the guiding factors of Poundbury – his model development in Dorset. The importance of “pedestrian friendly public space” is central to the Poundbury ethos.
This kind of public transport-oriented development is fundamental to achieving the ultimate goal of a low carbon community, and it is very likely that such communities, far from being austere, will actually become the sought-after places where people will choose to live and spend their time.”
The Prince, in a foreword to a report Building for the Future, also highlighted how green building materials could help tackle the problem of climate change.
He said that his architectural charity – the Prince’s Foundation for the Built Environment – was creating a “natural house” using green materials such as clay blocks and sheep’s wool for insulation. It is taking shape at the Building Research Establishment’s Innovation Park in Watford.
In his article, the Prince said: “The natural house will raise important findings about true sustainability that I hope will be useful to a building industry facing root-and-branch change in the next few years.
“I am sure that well-informed consumers will demand more of their new homes – not only energy efficiency, but attractive, spacious and natural constituent parts of real communities.”

Stop being fucking stupid.
NO1 and i mean NO1.
Can disagree to say bthat there needs to be a reduction in cars on our roads today.
I agree with what he says.
But that does not mean i agree with everything he says.
There are way, way, way to many cars in the world these days.
Look at China.
That place is an absolute joke.
We will end up like that if we are not careful.

I am sick and tired of people being blamed for things they have no control over. Public transport in most places is inadequate. People are stuffed into badly ventilated carriages on vehicles that break down, are inadequately cleaned and do not run to schedule or are difficult to access.
The oil cartels have suppressed clean renewable energy which has forced most people to use inefficient dirty and expensive vehicles.
In our city many councils refuse to allow highrise buildings (residential or commercial). The urban sprawl means that it can take 21/2 hours to travel to go from north to south and our population is only 1 million.
Voting makes no difference, they all have the ear of the lobbyists and the trans-national corporations or the union bosses.
People are allegedly fat, unfit and infertile due to lifestyle choices. Well hello, who approved the use of poisons in the the food and water to screw up the metabolism and remind me again who it was that offshored the manual labour jobs??? Not the populous.
Gives you the willies.

Prince Charles like most other rulers is a total hypocrit.
How often do we see him using public transport in and around London and everywhere else he goes?
I feel I am allowed to ask this question as I never owned a car and have always relied on public transport - including all airliners.

Charles seems to have been deliberately misquoted.
He doesn't say that people should "abandon" their cars.
He says that we should use them less.
Speaking about the “domination of the car over the pedestrian”, the future King said: “We must surely be able to organise ourselves... in ways in which we are not dependent on it to such a great extent for our daily needs."

The toffee-nosed boil-on-a-veruca's probably got an eye on the States, where financial turmoil's led many who've been evicted or had their mortgages foreclosed on to resort to living in their vehicles. I expect he'd quite like it if we had none.
{edit} Just seen your post Anthony65. Seems more reasonable. Yet, he, with his access to yachts & ships & personal jets etc. etc. should mind his own fucking business how we organise ourselves, and learn to use shanks's pony himself, imo.

He's a hypocrite of course. The personal jet is the clincher for me.
But still it makes sense to having living spaces that are designed more with people rather than cars in mind.
And I stand by my dream of one day seeing Charles singing Rabbit with Chas... :)

That's the plan I believe. It's all in 'Agenda 21' folks, if you haven't read up on this 'programme for the 21st century' then you're in for some mighty big surprises when what they're planning comes to fruition.

When it comes to places like the USA and Australia then there definitely needs to be a reduction in the amount of car usage, people drive up the street to get a bottle of milk where I live!
Cars cause some people to live a lazy lifestyle I believe, why bother walking to your local shops or pub if you can drive.
Better bike paths, PT and urban planning is the key.
One day there might be more environmentally friendly vehicles that don't run on oil, but the problem is that you can't expect everybody to drive all the time as you get grid lock or at the least heavy congestion.

The Daily Telegraph need to overdo the prediction Charles will be the future King because they know they are in trouble with the law.
I seem to remember in my album blog about Conrad Black being set-up by the Windsor-Bush criminal cartel that he and Barbra were already loaded and so could not be bribed to join the huge legion of deceit.
And the comment that it anoyed everyone in the Daily Telegraph as the others had to scam to live the high life was removed from the blog.
(By the Police?)
But anyhow, what they have been doing at the Telegraph is higly illegal, conspiracy to murder carries a life sentence, but if you are doing it to help Chrles defraud the throne and Tony Blair defraud the NHS then you tend to get high on impunity.
One problem... I was telling Barbra all about it and so as always, if you catch the establishment committing crime, they falsely accuse you of crime and so set up the former proprietor.
He is in jail in Florida, the govenor knows why he was done-up.
But Rachel and Henryeta played crucial roll in the plot to murder me with VX-Nerve gas by pretending to be my friends in authority who could protect me from state crime, while actually scamming with the pigs and getting rich quick.
Basically the ones involved in crime in the Telegraph do not want a straight King because I will prosecute them, so they are backing the big crook and fraudster Charles the Chimp Gimp.
Of course Charles was hovering over the bio-diesel factory in Tredegar in his helicopter buring up the fossil fuesl at a rate of knots this January, while he was plotting to kidnap me with the people he bribed to gang stalk me, attack me with bio-warfare germs and eventually help his kindnap and murder conspiracy.
I know the global warming stuff is a fraud and free energy is already invented and re-invented by me after the murder of Stan Myer but who that allow Charles to con the oil industry into funding his murder plot?
It would show how wrekless he really is with the environment as well as everything else.
No, the sensible thing for the oil industry to do would be to give me a job and develope the new technology quietly and introduce it in a way that dose not harm jobs or the bottom line.
But if they want to listen to the Little Green Man Prince Chrles telling theml they will face doom unless they fund his murder conspiracy then they will be left in no doubt that he has no legitimate claim to the throne because of the unreasonable and pointless spiteful nature of his arguements.

Apparently they're good for tourism!
Those who benefit from royalty are all those who make their income from the thousands of visitors to the UK to check out the royal pomp and other shenanigans for themselves.... everyone from major airline carriers right through to the street vendors who peddle their wares near Buckingham Palace are 'making a buck' out of the royal family. :)

Another way for them to increase control, and condense populations into small areas, restrict their movements.
And also they can have a good laugh at the chaos that occurs whenever there is a problem with their transport systems.
:o Public transport is pretty stunning in germany...
Sorry...
The roads are excellent too.
We don't have free energy or flying cars though, so we do still share some stuff in common! :)
And so are some of the german cars that are made to drive fast on those excellent roads...they may not fly but its the next best thing, especially when you remove the 155 speed limiters. Australia is a big country, and most of the towns in between cities are 1 cop towns, bed time is 11pm at the latest, so no one to hold the speed gun. ;)
Im all for electric cars btw, and i would buy one if they had a decent range before recharging, say 400 kms, because i need to travel far at times.
But i see this push by big ears as a way to further restrict people and make them dependant on TPTB.
Who killed the electric car? They did.
If i was prince william, i wouldnt have to worry about all this, id just fill up the ol' chopper with a few hundred gallons of avgas and go wherever i want.

I'm so glad our future king has such a strong grip on common sense and is so in touch with his loyal subjects
oh i didnt get the whole post and quotes, just wanted to make sure ya know i know sarcasm, i wonder i chucky does.
he can never be a furture king, he is only a pretender king, him and his have never had any legit claim,,,,,,,,,,,puppet pretender king of the vatican is more like it.
ya the idiot is a twat, a very stupid mother that only knows how to do the pomp and cercumstance show,,,,no substance,,,,,,,,what was his mums big get in the dirt thing with the people durring ww2, changing a fcking tire photo shoot,,,,,,,,how about this one charles maybe come and talk to me who knows maybe itl to ya good to talk to the real king ya forking lopsided i cant tie my own shoe.
i know real royalty,,,,,,,,,and i know they ante it,,,,,,,,,,its all PR as well as control,,,,,,,,,part of the whole social influencing program of which many other sub-programs stem from,,,,,,its kinda like DOS on a computer the foundation for the other operating systems..
and what do i know about royalty well i know what my hand looks like pretty well,,,,,,,,,and goofy charles looks nothing like a true Celtic King,,,,,,,a true british monarch could never look so puss or so ugly,,,,,,but then when i look a a true king the real one looks nothing like Pretender Charles,,,,,,,,,,,i got one out in Scotland a few years back(he had marine corps rogue intel backing),,,,,,,,,that and al it takes is time, truth, and maybe world court to reveiw what they have been part of as well as possibly being one of hte main players in a very elaborate conspiracy against the true royal family of the Celts(Scotland,England),,,,,instead of going into detail just believe this,,,,,,,,,the storys of King Arthur are somewhat true based on teh first kings of Britton,,,the family line condensed and the memory kept in that until a little over ten years ago there was no proof then artifacts were uncoverd,,,,,,,,,,by the time it made the news my father and grandfather were dead and it was around 7 years later i became aware of it and the first person i got out of the way was the pretender prince michael of albany(michael lafosse),,,,,,,,my point is the storys of the kings return are a bit more true than i believed, but i have no choise but to believe every time i look in the mirror i see my ansestors, from both kings and chiefs,,,,,,,,,so i can see why there effort,,,,,,but they underestimated me greatly,,,,,,,,,,,,,and for the pretenders my corjole behavior and respect i have paid you is over,,,,,,,,,due to the insults delt me indirectly by them my words towards them may be a bit harsher in the future,,,,,,,,,,,,as for Dianas boys they are differnt than there father and grandmother, there mother was of good stock and actualy a distant cousin, a branch that retained there Duke status, so those boys are family but there father and grandmother are not,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and this is the way it is,,,,,,,,,,,,,and being this those boys are realy Dukes not princes.
So maybe old charles will be pushing a cart with all his belongings soon and wants to make sure he has rights when he becomes a permanant pedestrian
the differnece between the real deal and charles is the real deal has walked long distances, hitchicked with no money, dug for recyclables,,,,,,,,etc,,,,,,,,,,the real one knows all to well what goes on in the world and why there is so much strife and destruction,,,,,,,,,,,i know after 5 miles feat begin to hurt, 5 everyday going about daily bussiness just paying bills can be very painfull and can cause late payments or such,,,,,,,and in this fast paced society if you rely on public transportation you may just get by,,,,,,,,so ya its a form of control.
the amount of things i can do on a gallon of gas compared to walking is astronomical,,,,,,as far as energy output to work ratio a vehicle is esential especialy if your not rich,,,,,,,,,,,,oh ya someone that has allot can go carless with little difficulty,,,,,and for leisure and travel they have taxi's,plains, trains, cruises, car rentals,,,,,,,but the rest of us hoped we had a decent vehicle that we know woulndt breakdown because of teh savings of driving ourselves.
Here is another point that is also a control factor taht most dont want to even look at,,,,,,,,,if there is more public stuff, there may also be more vest bombs on civilians because of a lack of redaly accesable vehicles or a veihicle would look out of place,,,,,,,,,unfortuantly cars make a bigger explosion which means more property damage that could harm bussinesses, so if this is looked at closely yes there are control mechanisms of great purportions not yet even considerd but when they are and the timings right they might try it.
Pretender Prince Charles and the likes are trying to keep it a much under control hoping it lasts until after they are gone,,,,,,,,,,,they dont want to fix the problem they just want to figure out how to keep it going this way as long as they can,,,,,,,,the reason being is they know that real solutions will lead to there down fall and colapse of there false power stucture.

Fer Fuck sake, all this from a royal who kept his pedal car from when he was 4 years old.....
Britain's Prince Charles has kept his favourite toy for over 50 years.
The royal, who will celebrate his 60th birthday this year, is so fond of the small aquamarine Sunbeam car that he keeps it in perfect condition at his mother Queen Elizabeth's Windsor Castle home.
Charles, who has two sons William and Harry, was given the toy by the British manufacturers of the item when he just four years old.
A spokeswoman for the Royal Collection said: "The pedal car was certainly the Prince's favourite. We have never been sure if he allowed William and Harry to play with it. It's still in such fantastic condition."
The toy appears in a new book about Charles, entitled 'Prince Of Wales: A Birthday Souvenir Album', released to coincide with an exhibition at Windsor Castle next month

Anybody who uses the motorway system or major A-roads in the UK knows that there are too many cars on the road. It's a fucking nightmare. I go to Scotland quite often and I always fly Bristol/Glasgow now before hiring a car at the other end.
Who cares what Charles does? He's right and has the platform to make his voice heard regardless of how many motors he has himself.. You can also add a fleet of John Deere tractors & Quad bikes to the list of machines he owns!

That's a fair assessment. They would all switch to selling Presidential tat though if the Monarchy was ousted.
President Beckham, Branson (or whoever had enough money to run) tea-towels & mugs would festoon the street vendors stalls and the ex-Royals would no doubt open up all their residences to tourists anyway.
Me.. I'll be glad to see the death of the motor car as a mode of transport and am looking forward to the opportunity of letting my Horses carry me about on roads without cars on them :)

Sensible post I think.
We are so quick to jump at the messenger that we often ignore what the message is.... Don't get me wrong I'm no fan of the royal family, but I get the impression if Charlie came out saying 'free rice for everybody' - most of you would stamp and shout.
All those metal boxes on the motorway often containing only one passenger each it nothing short of madness. People driving themselves when they could walk or cycle is also pompous laziness...it's all about personal responsibility and not feeding the monster.
but hey..... you're free to exercise your right to be a consumer
I don't see how slavery to the multinational oil companies is freedom....but hey ho!

As I said earlier, if everybody drove to every destination they had to go to, then you would have grid lock, so there needs to be a good balance.
If you can do it then walk or ride a bike, plus your keeping yourself fit in the process.
Charles does have a very valid point, you just have to ignore his hypocrisy.

When I have millions of euro in my bank and I give a message out. Hey people you should share more of your food and valubles its makes you happy.
Meanwhile I have banks full of money who could end starvation in Africa!! ( i don't I'm just going to be like Charles in an example)
If you don't get how fucking absurd your post is. Let's make another example.
(Charles again)
I think the UK should pay carbon tax, as it will help ensure we take more consideration for the environment. (Meanwhile I will just think about my next private jet to Scotland after this bullshit message)
Charles, doesn't apply this example to his own life.
(Charles again)
I think you should all cycle to work as it's more environmental friendly ( while I get my porsche and pump it up with diesel)
Charles doesn't apply this example to his own life.
(Charles again)
I think you build more environmentally friendly homes and use green materials. While I live in 500 year old castle that requires the energy of a powerplant to heat it up. But you all make sure you clean up your act just while I be the messenger.
Charles stil cannot apply his examples to his own life, but is quick to tell other people how to live and what to do. This is not acceptable behaviour. The truth is he is not in the authority to say those things.
People who cannot take responsiblity for their own lives and then ask people to do for theirs is, the height of Ignorance. It's call hypocricy. If I don't recycle my rubblish who am I to judge.

There is no point in telling you lot to do the right thing, when the one mouthing off still doesn't. I'm sorry but logic and reality doesn't hold this ground any longer. If anything its something we should be copping the fuck on too. Everyone takes responsiblity for what they do and what they create in this world and everyone will act with more respect to one another. Society will not work when you have "these hypocrites who loath themselves in a wealthy lifestyle telling poor people what to do as we keep them in the lifestlye, is not acceptable.

Firstly I shall post at will :) Kindly refrain from illustrating me as Charles number one fan as I assure you this isn't the case. All I am saying is .. there are grains of truth in the bullshit formula...that's how they get away with it. In fact it would be a useful trick for the ptb if they got Charlie to announce all good ideas so we could all do the opposite. Anyone who hasn't got unlimited funds, an oil well in the garden or a rich Arab friend is well advised to limit there usage.
I try to take as much responsibility as possible for myself, regardless of me not having millions in the bank. How on earth is this hypocritical? and for your information I recycle as much as I can and have done for years, I put my wheelie bin out every 4 weeks, I grow as much veg as a can in my garden... sure it's a drop in the ocean, but as far as possible I don't want the world to be any the worse off for having me in it....oh and I think sharing is cool, but not because the royal family says so.

His main residence, Highgrove in the Cotswolds, is a green paradise. Everything is recycled and he generates his own power from German Passat bio-fuel generators. His farm produces organic food in a low impact, wildlife friendly and sustainable fashion, which is a most laudable effort I think you'll have to agree.
His own housing development, Pounbury (http://www.duchyofcornwall.org/designanddevelopment_poundbury.htm), has showcased modern eco-building in an ecologically sustainable way, with demonstrable long term environmental benefits.

I second what is being said here but giving up your only means of transport in a rural setting would really stop you from doing many of the things you have to do to get by, of course you can ride a bycicle or walk, but that would be unlikely to happen any time soon near you.
I'm not going to go into the ins and outs of transport but I think where our biggest problem with cars lies is the infastructure and how we all live today, in China it used to be wall to wall bikes everywhere, now your not allowed to even push a bike through Beijing, let alone ride one,
Same scenario goes for Los Angelese and other large metropolis's, a friend of mine cycle all the way across the USA in 83 b ut not all the way because these laws were already in place, he made it across unscathed by the wayonly to have his bike stolen off of the back of his car at Manchester airport in the UK.
Where we see lazy fat arsed mothers driving only a few hundred yards on the morning school run, I have even seen them driving in their nighties without a stich of anything else on, and others driving to the neighbouring town because fuel is a couple of pence cheaper per litre, I know its a free world but I mean COME ON get off your arses and look after your local businesses or walk for goodness sake.
Cars of course really need to be controlled just like we are, its who is going to make the first move to a growing problem, Charlie boy can do what the hell he likes because he can, what he does doesn't effect me in the slightest, nor should it anyone else, he is not perfect you know, what matters is how we look upon what is good for the whole.
As time goes by the price of fuel is going to get much more expensive, hell its way too cheap as it is and when its 10 pounds per gallon we will still drive the kids to school, peeling the peoples dead bodies from the cars is what we might have to do to get them to walk a few hundred yards, joking aside we must start to look neared to home for what we need to survive upon and soon,
The larger towns and cities will soon start to empty again when the resorces start to dwindle, poeple will again gather into smaller communities when the big boys move out of town because there isn't a profit to be made, its already happening here, the poorer people get the less the big supermarkets mark up becomes until such a time that store will have to close due to the lack of profits.
We will go full circle similar to the Cuban's who lost half their oil overnight when the Soviet Union collapsed, go have a look at how they coped, this was their post oil period and is what is facing all of our lazy car drivers.
On a closing note, countries like Japan and Indonesia and similar that make the most cars are the ones who have the least raw materials with which to make them, once oil is on the endangered list so will their capacity to make them, this time is not so far away.

lol I'm not gullible, I'm just agreeing with his statement about reducing peoples dependence on motor vehicles, and if possible choosing another means of transport like PT, walking or bike riding. I've been an advocate of reducing the number of cars in built up areas for years. I understand some people live in remote area's who need cars, but I'm talking about urban area's where motor vehicle traffic should be reduced. Yes it's people choice as to what they can do, but at least educate people on the subject and provide alternative solutions to the motor vehicle.
I can't believe you actually think it's a bad thing for me to agree with what he's saying just because he's a royal, even though I've supported this subject for years and have made my own mind up on this subject.

A natural reduction in cars will occur when there is no fuel left to put in them, in China today there are only 30 cars per
1000 PHP, the USA has 900 cars per 1000 PHP, there are still way more push bikes than cars.
There is nothing really wrong with China, its just the people in charge, the people are hard working and in the wilder parts a whole lot better off than we are, all they need is a little food to keep them going and the rest of their time is a peaceful existence, we don't see them waging wars like the USA.
What's fucked it up for them of late is us encouraging them to capitalise and pollute in our name, they kept us out for a 100 years or more because they had a leader who could see what was going to happen once they let in westernism.
What we need to do is get rid of religion and money and do our own dirty work and make what we need, learn to survive on our own backs, making someone work for nothing and giving other something for doing nothing is destroying the human race, we are already up to a sixth of the worlds population in the needy and very hungry, so we are getting there slowly but surely, it won't be long before we reach the 2 billion mark, a bit like the population growth since the 1800's.
I don't plan on going there to live just yet by the way.

The rich and powerful will still be able to travel wherever they want, whenever they want by any means they want.
It's called privilege.
