Movies are full of the theme "man built machines, and machines became advanced and controlled their masters and made them slaves"
Where did this theme come from ? And can this be found in our reality in some way ?

It can, when you change the wording a little.

Usually its makeing the point of AI may become so advanced that robot's will learn to much from us.
More than likely robots will make robots so if we had a super AI robot army there is a chance they could turn on us easy. I don't see anything else happening as we built them and taught them.

The machines will not enslaves us, they will substitute us; controlled by the PTB. It's been happening since the industrial revolution, now they just need to the reduce the population by 80%, and soon they will get rid of the rest, as AI develops further.

Many people worldwide spend long hours keeping machines running in factories. People have to supply energy to the machines as well as other materials depending on the application of the machine, of course. Some machines are used to create newer, more advanced machines. Slippery Slope, anyone?

I watched the new Terminator movie sunday night (Terminator Salvation) it was a good film, VERY good special effects. Ive been a fan of the series my whole life as i always thought it had a message and in some way was based on a truth. It was many years after that i learned about it and how it can be translated into real life. Same theme in the Matrix...that movie blew me away when i first saw it. I felt like the character Neo when he is told "Your whole life you knew there was something wrong with the world" i felt like that for as long as i can remember and even as a child, with a childish mind i knew there was something, that some big event will happen. That there was some force shaping the world, that some revolution or WWIII or something will happen in my life time. Now as an adult i understand it more.
