I have autism and as a kid could not play sport with others , i did ride my bike around sometimes, but didnt play sport at lunch, and weekends like my friends did. i only started jogging etc after 20, i was a bit more active as a teen. do you have permanent weakness if you didnt do much as child or can you catch up.

Just keep working at and you will be fine. There are lots of people who exercise lots during their childhood but do nothing as adults.

I doubt you could completely catch up, but you can get close if you work at it. Stretching is more important as you get older, so I would do a simple yoga routine in between workouts.

You can catch up. Nothing to worry about.

I totally agree with size of light.
You'll do just fine.

I think your'll be fine. If your aching its most likely your muscles just gowing through the growth stage. Everytime you exercise, especially when intensly your muscles will 'tear'. Then your'll ache while they repair. Once repaired they will be stronger. Thats why its very important to have rest days when exercising. Especially if your not used to it.
I also didn't do too much exercise when I was a kid. Most my time was spent on my knees playing with lego! I started playing football in my late teens. The first few months were agony! I had shin splints which was caused by me pretty much playing football everyday. So dont over do it to begin with ;)
Also if you do pick up an injury dont try and ignore it! This was a massive mistake I did. I've now had tendonitis in both achillies and tightness/pain in my hip and back. This I cant seem to get rid of. I can still play once im warmed up but from time to time need time off as it kicks in.
Im not trying to scare you off. Im just trying to point out if you feel you have an injury dont try and 'run it off' as I did! Good luck with the exercise. Your'll notice your energy levels rising. Have fun! :)
