Having read many of Ickes books and his mention of everything being an illusion kind of answers some questions for me. I have never heard mentioned however some of these magicians that seem to do the impossible. Chris Angel is a good example.... I have seen shows with him levitating on street corners ... walking up buildings, basically doing things preceived as impossible. However it is impossible because we believe it to be correct? So is Chris Angel somehow have a way to alter his reality and of those who watch him ? It is the only explanation that I have for some of his stunts. They are quick to call themselves illusionists so have they found a way to change it ?? Please share your thoughts ....
Getting a cell phone into a beer bottle .... only thing I can think of is he has mastered the whole reality is an illusion concept.

Most illusionists use cunning and trickery to fool the audience that they have superhuman powers...Criss Angel tricks the audience by paying actors (and very bad ones at that) to pretend they are seeing a miracle.
Just look at this video towards the end, when they show the trick in fast forward you can clearly see he's on a winch and his movement is quite mechanical...

That still doesnt explain how he levitates and walks up buildings .... have you every seen him ??? You are not addressing the question I asked ... does he have a double float ten feet off the ground on the sidewalk in Vegas??

Hmmm a one min blub by someone disguising there voice debunking illusions by refering to other sites ..... your right nothing to see at that link .... never really answered my question. If reality is an illusion ..... then whos to say that one couldnt change that reality .....

These are all very weak explanations, and almost laughable. The only way he could do it is by cgi or trick cameras, or its real. Paid actors, not even close. Must be cgi. He uses actual chi for some of the stunts, which masters of qi have been doing for years. I bet on some of its real, most of its cgi.
Chris Angel, like Derren Brown, is a magician. A trickster. The reason why these people are good, is because they fool the public as well as entertain them. But knowing quite a lot about magic myself, i can tell you (no matter how "impossible" it appears to be) that all you are seeing is pure trickery.

Chris Angel has already been soundly debunked. Sorry.
He photoshops his acts, and takes all day to film them over and over. There are all sorts of inconsistancies in his shows, ranging from shadows that change angles to feet switching, etc.
Fun entertainment, but he has no superpowers, sorry.

NONE of it is real my friend and none of it is new either. it's the same ol "magic" performed with his own personal style. everything is camera tricks, other magic tricks you can buy and do yourself, digital editing and mirrors. don't let him fool you. he's very good at his acting though, almost believable.

Not everything is camera tricks. You can buy one of his levitations for £100. His coin in soda can will set you back about £30. There are many amazing magic tricks out there, that would convince you you are seeing the real deal.

chris angel is such a wanker. and everyone has chi/qi! it's a matter of working with it. i prefer to watch david blaine's tricks. he's done a few things where he's used incredible endurance i believe blaine has worked with his chi alot more than angel... wears less makeup too.

It's how accurate mind reading techniques work or "impossible" situations like a person feeling contact from someone standing far away from them. The subject and audience are not in sync with the performer, thus they are both experiencing something different at a single point in time.
How anyone can judge or use commercial videos as evidence of "real" magic is laughable and just proves how gullible some people are. Criss Angel screams Hollywood all over. Young, "attractive", muscle bound, trim, rich, etc etc etc. They are selling you an illusion!
Just because you cannot explain a trick you see on TV doesn't mean it's "the real thing".
No wonder the world is in such bad shape. Even the "conspiracy theorists" who aren't supposed to believe in bullshit, lies, and manipulation actually think that this guy has superpowers.
Even after videos have been posted where the guy explains...HIMSELF...and shows how he does it...people still believe.

He explains away his illusions all of the time, he tells people how he does them. That fun part is trying to figure them out, that's all. He is fun to watch, he creates illusions, and he entertains people. Also, a lot of what he does are fun tricks that people could actually learn... but there is always a high level of skill actually involved. Slight of hand, fast movements, things like that. So to do it on the street really fast, he has to get it down perfect, so that's really cool.
He is a really good illusionist, but these things aren't real. I for one don't really want to know the explination. I think he's fun to watch, and that's the whole point.
