My Poem entitled "Summer"

Summer

Will it be May or June 'til August or September ?
I hope it's a lasting sun, akin to the times that I remember
Radiant sunlight reaching out to the hushed streets
And scorching down to singe the grass and wheat
Honey'd aromas of floral offspring quench the air
Parched and blistering
Summer comes around again in a blaze
But with a fond farewell
It's gone again, goodbye lazy days.

Excellent steevo , really invoked memories of long gone hazy summers . I could almost smell the summer in the air 1974 all over again for me :D

kind of makes me think of that sweet child of mine lyric her hair reminds me of a warm safe place where as a child i'd hide .Used to make me laugh , her hairy what ?:eek::rolleyes:
Did you grow up near corn or wheat fields ? i was lucky to live directly opposite them and woodland so had a great playground . :D

I didnt grow up near corn or wheat fields but I do remember seeing some as a kid. And to this day, I still have a soft spot for them. A few years ago I took up photography as a hobby, and i would love to take pics of those types of fields (and I think that my obsession with those fields came from way back when), although I have never managed to get the perfect pic (yet).

Theres something about those fields , someone once told me they read God is in the wheat as that was the best way for God or an alien form to spread and be assimilated on the planet !
Just watched Knowing the wheat field scene is stunning cinematography wise :D

I have not seen that film "Knowing" but I would like to now. Would you recommend it ?
Yes the spirit of Gaia earth mother . While sat there i saw a vision of a circle divided into eight like a union jack with small circles on the inside of the bigger circle were the lines met .Wen i went thru avebury car park a guy there was selling his jewelery there he had the same design in silver .I asked him where he got the idea he said he just made it he didn't have any reason .I never bought it :D
Yes a good movie if you enjoy it as such and dont buy into the apocalyptic scenario .Jut read a review on ABC news:rolleyes: page of the 2012 movie it stated the Mayan calendar ends with the end of humanity. They have to keep trying dont they .

Yes they will ALWAYS keep trying to get us to resonate with fear using their misinformation. I will try to get hold of that film. Thanks 2013 :)

That fellar who was selling the jewelery wasnt a very good salesman lol. I bet if he had a good story to tell about the design of the pendant then maybe you would have bought it. Maybe HE didnt actually make the jewelery himself but didnt want to admit it. We shall never know lol :D
