Iraq shoe-throwing reporter to leave jail as celebrity

BAGHDAD - Muntazer al-Zaidi, the television reporter jailed for throwing his shoes in disgust at former US president George W. Bush, was expected to be freed to a joyous welcome on Monday, his family said.

His employers have paid his salary (and bought him a new house) whilst he was in prison...shows where there support lies, eh? (Good on them; I wish my employer liked me that much!)
