Waltham Abbey - King Harold 1066

This is the location history tells us Harold is buried. It's not true as he was first buried on his estate in Bosham. Many people also claim he is buried inside of bosham church which is also not true. harold built Waltham Abbey in 1030 and after he was killed by the same group that killed Jesus they changed the inside of this Abbey so it would become a shrine to both of them. here is a look inside the Abbey.

Funny the other day I was in a town in County Durham and noticed that one of the terraced houses had the face of a bearded man carved out of old looking stone positioned just below it's guttering. This was the only one I could see but it was facing the Anglican church across the road. I wondered it it had any significance.
