What's the vitamin company that has green bottles and gold labels? Quite expensive. Bugger! I can't remember what they're called!

Anyway - I'm pretty sure they do food grade supplements (which is why they're more expensive), and I'd hazard a guess that this is the sort of thing the guy in the video is talking about.

Not a particularly useful post that was it? :o

:D

I know what brand you mean krak but can't recall the name either.

Personally I take Lysine C which is an 1000mg vit c with an ammino acid which helps with absorbtion.

Dr. Tim O'Shea in the above make a case for WHOLE FOOD VITAMINS. (do a google for supplier)
Makes sense when you read it - then think about it.

Fresh fruit is best, get a juicer.

I think goji berries would be a good source of vitamin C. Theyve got 500 times more of it in than oranges do aswell as having lots of other good stuff in too.
I get mine from the chinese supermarket u can get them in chinese herbal medicine shops too.

Emergen-C is good also

http://www.emergenc.com/

Because it's put into liquid, (supposedly) it can be absorbed faster

I've tried that product, taking 1 or 2 packets a day, and one day I started experiencing heart palpitations after taking it. I never had that problem before. I quit taking it for a few weeks after that and during that time I had no problems. I wasn't 100% sure if it was the Emergen-C that caused it, so I tried taking it again and guess what? More heart palpitations. My adivce: stear clear of Emergen-C.

I used to be enthusiastic about taking concentrated vitamins and minerals in pill form. Not any more. If I want vitamin C or any other specific nutrient, I simply look for foods that are high in that nutrient and add some to my diet. Among vegetables, cauliflower and especially broccoli are high in vitamin C content. Among fruits, oranges and especially kiwifruit have lots of C. Whole, raw, natural foods are the way to go, imo.

Wow, really? Perhaps because it has other stuff in it as well....I wouldn't think vitamin C alone would cause palpitations.....maybe the magnesium?

I once had heart palpitations from another supplement I tried...it had licorice in it...

AMLA-C PLUS with spirulina :)

http://www.foreverhealthy.net/html/products/displayProduct.asp?ProductID=21

It's dried amla berries from India. I use it and wow - not only does it protect my immunsystem, but I almost get high because it totally warms me inside. The amla-c is 100% natural, so you don't need a high dosage - maybe just 60mg - compared to normal ester-c with all that ascorbin acid.
