There may be a thread on this already i dont know, there's been talk about this for a few years now and it looks as though IBM will be issuing everyone in UK with new biometric passport over the next 7 years (IBM being the ones to 'barcode' all held in the auschwitz camps)
Not surprising, kind of expected..

On the subject of IBM, another article advises that..
'Ministry of Defence and IBM enter 5-Year, £23 Million Agreement to manage UK Air Surveillance'
Anything to help along the chemtrails and our adored big brother state eh

Traveling to & from the USA over the last decade has become increasingly more intense in terms of security, at least in one sense. On the US side, passport & thumb scan was replaced by passport / retinal scan a few years back. The last time I entered the US ( earlier this year ) I was required to provide a retinal scan, full facial scan, 2 x thumb scan & fingerprints for all fingers on both hands. This is as a UK citizen with one of the newer 'chipped' passports going on holiday for a few weeks. The purported 'increased' security was an absolute joke in terms of actual 'physical' checks. Upon leaving, carry on bags selected for checks after going through the x-ray machine were given a ludicrously slapdash 'search' - ie the zip was opened, the ( exceedingly young & presumably inexperienced ) security guy stuck his hand in the bag, had a root around & managed to drop a load of stuff on the floor, whilst completely failing to actually 'LOOK' at anything in there. Meanwhile, several sinister looking non-uniformed Israeli's hang about the area, eyeballing everyone whilst appearing to be doing nothing. The whole scenario stunk.
