They've been telling me from birth that where I live is called

'New York'

In the suburbs of NYC.

I'm pretty sure I live in a place where the energy/chi is sometimes really really great. Or really really terrible.

I wouldn't call it new york though.

thats a weird name i think.

Nice place, count your blessings! I have family that lives in a place like that, but in Montana. Those trees really do make a difference to the air quality. We're in the Bay Area and even though the ocean is technically right there, the air can still be really bad some days.

22-08-2007, 10:21 AM
Dude, Megafish, how can you handle living in the Bay Area!?! _underscore_ has spent about six months out of the past seven years down there for work, and the place is just crowded and nasty. Heck yeah the trees help! The only other place (in the USA) that _underscore_ has visited that he'd like to live at is New Mexico. New Mexico is awesome, the mesas are so cool to camp out on, and the enormous amount of archeological attractions make New Mexico really cool. If you've never visited NM, do so!

Wow, Jo'burg sure has changed since I was last there, almost 15 years ago. It's such a shame. I remember when Hillbrow, Berea, Yeoville, et al, were great places to live...great little shops...nightclubs...perfectly safe to walk around at night.

I know Tinmenace .. it sure has changed a lot! Of course not all of Johannesburg looks like this - mostly just the city centre and Hillbrow
which is now home to illegal immigrants and poor street children.
I mean I was born in Hillbrow and used to walk the streets when I was young
but not anymore.

If you would like to see more of how it looks now see this website :

I would die of the heat lol... I loved Nevada and Arizona in the winter time though... was about 80 degrees

New Mexico intrigues me. It's close but some how never makes it in vacation plans etc. Maybe I am missing out like you say. I'll check it out.

Where in the Bay where you at? I agree it's crowded AND nasty lol but it's also a very beautiful and IMHO spiritual place if you know where to look. I guess it's my connection with the ocean... seems like I can never live too far from it... it keeps crying out for me, and I, it. lol

HQ was in Belmont, right where Sea World used to be, and there was a large customer in Santa Clara. Plus a warehouse in Freemont, right near the huge landfill!

Ok, here's the thing with adelaide: It's not dirty, it's not pretty, it's not serene- it's plain, dry, no emotion, boring but you can make the best of it if you can, or try really hard, it's mundane, lots of burning heat, there is no shade and it's plain. Living in adelaide is like eating a dry, plain biscuit (with nothing on it) when you're really really thirsty.
