I go for a 2 mile jog about 3 times a week, and normally I get shouted at from a passenger in a passing car on at least one of these occasions.
Occasionally, even pedestrians will say something to me when passing. I have always ignored these pricks up until now, but it has been going on for months now and I am on the verge of starting to give them the finger when this happens.
A lot of the abuse I get is from young fat cunts, so they probably wouldn't be able to catch me if I did this.
My other conclusion is that they are mentally retarded and should be killed.

I confess to having been one of those car passengers, when I was about 12-15 years old (20 years ago ouch). I used to shout "faster, fatty" and similar.
I don't any more, obviously, and now I feel your pain as I jog a little myself.
Your analysis is correct though - I was indeed a fat cunt myself at the time.

Do they shout abuse at you because you are over weight and are doing all you can to loose some ?
if so -------that maybe why they do it .
Im not saying that its right - especially for those who might be slightly over weight because lets face it , atleast they are doing something .
I dont keep fit anymore --------yet I have seen large people walking and even jogging from time to time and I admire them for their personal inner strength for doing so and I think its cruel if some one was to heckle them just for that .
if your not over weight and they heckle you ---------FKEM anyway , so what !
dont worry about "what they think"
Ive seen
Old people jogging
large people jogging
old chinese folks walking fast
I think they all have "The spirit" and good for them
GOOD FOR YOU TOO STEPPEWAR !

Hi Steppewar
You're not alone. I too do a bit of jogging and get heckled whilst out. So does my friend who also jogs. Sometimes it's words of encouragement from old men smoking outside pubs shouting "go on girl!". Other times it seems to be imbecile young men or teenage boys who think they're being funny in front of their mates. Interestingly, I've not had any heckling from women yet....
Ignore it mate. I do. Though it does piss me off from time to time.

I'm 41 and can comfortably run 2 miles in less than 14 minutes, and my BMI is 25, ie normal weight.
I have a friend who runs 6 miles nearly every day, is thin and he also frequently gets heckled.
My conclusion is that jog hecklers are just meatheads.

I used to get heckled wehn I lived in a city, but now that I have moved to the country I am more likely to run in to people walking their dogs and get cased by someones border collie!

Ask the stop and search police if you fit the profile for heckling while jogging.

I've been getting 'heckled' for years in the street just cos I'm a woman, from both males and females of varying ages.Have been physically threatened plenty of times over it.
I'm imagining its the same for all women at varying times whether jogging or not.Cant speak for males as I aint one!

Yeah, I have been heckled and laughed at loads of times whilst jogging.
If only I could find a way to reply (very quickly) to the fat heckling bastards something like,
'yes and I wish I could be there to watch the moment when the large fatty deposit that has been clinging to the inside of your coronary artery finally breaks off and stops your fucking heart'
or would that be too extreme?

Jogging is an illness.
It's right that you are publically humiliated when you engage in douchebag activities like this.

Hahahahahahaha!!! You rule.
For some reason, I'm always compelled to shout "Get those knees up!" to joggers. You're right though, I am a fat cunt so give me the finger if you like. I won't be able to catch you :D

I went thru a stage of jogging for a while and it was great fun !
In fact, I got home almost before I started out.
It was really funny.... but .... when i was jogging, i went into a different time zone and it was amazing, surreal stuff... hard to explain... like a different dimension, i was there but i wasn't, it was really cool !
try it sometime, dude ! :D
i gave it up tho, because i dont live in an area now that is nice to jog around.
when i was jogging , the area was full of trees waving at me, and plants with good vibes, pretty flowers and chirping birds and basket weavers that sit and twiddle their thumbs AND...
well, you know the rest of the words to that song....:p

why do people run/jog (apart from if the have to hehehehe!)?
Serious question, I'm interested in what people get from it!

I pretty much leave the joggers alone, but I can't drive by a cyclist without wanting to reach out and smack his bum, I don't know why  :p :D

That was you?! I was so angry I chased your Mustang to the stop sign and lifted my bike up to throw through your back window, remember? Luckily, the coast was clear and you were able to make your turn in the nick of time whilst shouting at me that I was a crazy female dog.
And YOU were the one that smacked me! It stung, too. You have a good arm!
(Kidding, it was a guy that did it)

hi gg, serious answer here. believe it or not, my last post was serious.
you get a 'runner's high', and you do feel like you are in a different dimension.
it was really cool, at the time, but i haven't done running for years.
i only tried it out for a few weeks, but then i stopped.
i really did feel that i was home b4 i started out. it is a strange type of 'high' and just watching everything move faster , it was like i wasn't moving, it was like the scenery was just flashing by.
too hard to explain, i guess.
i didn't do it to keep fit, i did it as an experiment... and it is true in a way, you do experience time differently.
nowadays, i just try to relax and stuff.
it is really interesting to try it out ... but only if you are in a nice area where you like to jog.
steppe must be jogging in horrible area's ...
Well, at least i can say that i tried. it is worth trying. just to check out the 'high', but the keeping fit part.... not for me.
like SOL said, it does interfere with the smoking :D
