A Mosquito which can carry a host of deadly diseases has entered Britain.
Two Asian tiger mosquitoes, which can transmit up to 23 infections - including West Nile virus and dengue fever - were found in a suburban back garden.
Illnesses passed on when the insect bites humans include a parasitic worm which can cause serious breathing complications.
The species is normally found only in the forests of Asia, Africa and South America

Clive Salisbury, pollution control manager for Cheltenham Borough Council, said the mosquitoes found in the town had been sent for final identification.
He said: "Although it appears to be warm enough for them to survive over here, it's not thought to be hot enough for the diseases they carry in countries like Africa to survive in the UK." The Health Protection Agency said: "In certain parts of Europe where the species can be found they are not able to carry any viruses."
Having read the story in full, then read this part again doesn't sound to me like KILLER Mosquitoes, i.m.h.o.

Don't worry. They'll institute a mosquito tax that will fix everything.
But, seriously folks. In all likelihood there are no mosquitoes. It's a fake
story like most everything else that comes out of the media to create
fear.

They are definitely here and in London too, about a month ago i was trying to sleep and i could hear, what i thought was a bluebottle or housefly, flying around my room, usually as soon as i hear a mosquito i jump up and don't go back to sleep until i have killed it, as they are partial to biting me several times at a go.
But becuase this sounded like an average house fly or bluebottle i thought what the hell, it wont bite me I might as well leave it. Then an hour later i woke up and had two massive bites on my back and heard the buzzing really close to my face so, naturally went into killing mode. I turned the light on and the fly which didn't sound like a mosquito was and was twice the size of a normal UK mosquito, i obviously ended it's time in our reality, the amount of blood that came out of it was tremendous.
I thought nothing of it, until yesterday when i saw that pic, as was the fly i killed with bright yellow stripes, the usual ones are smaller and the stripes are not as bright.
I still thinks it's scare mongering though, as the temperature probably isn't hot enough for them to cary the deseases.
