Some (many) live with the misconception that religions cause people in general to be and act offensivelly towards eachother.
This fallacy is so deeply burrowed in people's counsiousness that is one of the most perpetrated 'things' nowdays.
Various 'examples' are given to sort of back this fallacy, the wars of the crusades, the inquisition, the conquest of the Americas or various 'local' happenings which are deemed as propper facts of religion being something which causes harm to people.
I know is not so, i know that this 'ideea' of religion being the cause of bad stuff is a manufactured concept which made its way to people minds via various ways.
Certain individuals along the way in history served towards this goal which in turn serves to achieve an even greater goal.
That goal is to attain a state of 'diluted' essence in people's souls , so that they no longer belong, feel and think - as they were made to be.
The goal is to have people reject religion(s) so that mammon can have his own religion implemented.The seeds of this new religion have already been planted and they are being watered every day by the ways of our deeds and actions.
Perhaps many woke up only to continue sleeping another much worse sleep.
The perpetual nightmare is the next step.

*The goal they work toward is for people to reject religion..so that the goal (unmentioned) of mammon can be implemented..
Okay anyway...Produce evidence of this...
Produce said people and the evidence that they were colluding towards said goal.
And you might want to study up on what fallacies actually are.

Then God had His Word put in words viw the Bible.
Then some random 'dudes' came along and at an increasing rate worked towards tainting this 'Word' this message.
Then you came and said religion is an evil.
Then i said it is not.
Then you ask that i provide proof that 'the perception of reality' has been distorted.
Are you okay?

That is not "evidence" of anything...that is a bunch of assertions strung together in a chain.
If you cannot show evidence of assertion one:
God made us all
Nor of assertion two:
God died for our sins
Why should i believe anything you say?

It has been used FOR evil...where did i assert that it itself was actually evil?

the implied inference in this statement is that your "perception of reality" has not been "distorted..
You can attempt to do the buddhist/existentialist thingee, but i don't think it will work for you ..at least not with me..having read Francis Schaeffer's arguments in that respect, and having read many buddhist writings..
