Tell me how this secret shit works for people who are born into really awful circumstances, or born into war, hunger and disease. How does it work for them ??
Or does it just work for middle class/ upperclass shallow people in the west that just want a bit more of what they already have ??

I'm also a little cynical about the video.
It seems to suggest that the power of thought is all you need to achieve any goal you want. I would disagree. The power of the deed is much stronger than the power of thought. Doing, doing, doing,.....I'm sure there were a lot of people (and still are) who had such a lot of positive thoughts when Obama came to power....so why is it that all these hopeful thoughts didnt manifest themselves in a complete withdrawal from Iraq and Afghanistan or a reversal of the money transfer from the poor to the super rich? The answer is that hope is often a deception - hope is what we do when we no longer have the power, or the motivation, to ACT. Nice thoughts are nice in themselves, but are no solution to the problems of the cosmos. What we need are NICE ACTS, nice deeds, nice gestures. Positive doing is far more powerful than positive thinking.
Moral of my rant? Doing, doing, doing....positive thoughts will come after any positive deeds anyway, so why concentrate on thoughts?
My 2 cents.

The 'system' behind the Secret, The Law of Attraction, Thoughts are Things etc. is a fact and it is attainable by everyone. How you use it, for negative or positive, is down to personal choice and free will.
Here is my 'personal invitation' to join a apparently renegade group of ex Illuminati, Skull and Bones, Freemasons etc. They offer training on using The Secret. You are welcome to view the site and make your own assertions:

I have read THE SECRET-Nice idealistic view of life, but For fucks sake, we all live in the real world.....
Its all stuff like, think positively in any situation and positove things will happen, bit difficult when I get cut up by an absolute twat on the M6 isn't it?!!
Thought it was bollocks, but Oprah read it on her show once and as a result has 100's of millions of sales.

Tony Robbins and then finding The Secret totally changed my life. It took me awhile to adjust my thought patterns and my speach, and I still catch myself being negative every now and then, but for the most part I'm on track with it.
My life circumstances have changed in ways I would not have believed before I got into this. It works.
It doesn't work for people who are naturally self depreciating with a very negative slant on life because for people like that nothing can change and to them this is all crap :)

I think the mistake people make with the secret is thinking that things will magically fall in their laps. the makers of the secret did follow up videos and they do actually tell you that if you want something to happen you also have to commit to it 100% and work towards it a little everyday and that you also have 100% faith ans belief in yourself.
This why people think its crap, they visualise something then make no effort to make it happen!

Why are these people claiming that it is free to join the first level in their group?
The fees they are charging to join their "private club" are quite steep if you ask me.
A first payment of $1000 followed by monthly payments of $150 is not accessible to everybody especially in these days of economic depression. I bet you they don't refund and you cannot stop the payments once they are initiated.
This looks more like a scam to me. Considering their recruitment methods (anybody who can chip in these huge amounts will be accepted in) and the fact that they are keeping everything secret and away from the public I am more than doubtful about them.
This alone raises a red flag.

Please do not link to one of the Eli Rook/Kevin Trudeau scam websites. Thanks.

I am reading "The Secret" as we speak, the law of attraction for me is much bigger than any of us can imagine. I have gone thorugh life with negative doubting thoughts, having read some of this book, I know undertsand why my life may be difficult. You think negative you gain negative, it is a simple as that for me anyway.
As for you Frase and the M6 bit :( I understand that but maybe you are to percieve people a little differently, which is why these things happen. I use to think what an asshole and scream and shout, but it never done me any good. I know just assume these people are yet to awaken and understand that we should all treat other a bit better and maybe understand that we all have problems and issue's from tptb's society :D
Does get you mad though eh! Courtesy on the road is my main objective when driving now, not getting to the point where I am infuriated by people who live in their own materialistic fantasy world
