Dear Friends
kind regards
I have a computer technology problem that has been irritating me for the past year.
I used to have a Windows XP laptop and could record video footage from Windows media player on my memory stick.
However, I got a new Windows Vista laptop last year and for some reason I can't record videos to my memory stick.
Does anyone here know how to fix this problem?
If anyone could help me with this problem I would greatly appreciate it.
yours thankfully
John

Is it a video you are watching from the Internet?

There may be another way to save them... like File > Save/Save As.... in Vista you may have to hold down Alt key for the File menu to appear.

Dear budgeebird
kind regards
Yes the videos are from the internet and played on Windows Media player Vista.
However, they can only record on CD.

not all memory sticks function correctly with Windows Vista, if your memory stick is indeed detected, the better method would be to record to HDD (or ripto HDD) then transfer the files across to the memory stick itself.

Hi moral man
If you are using firefox3x then goto their site and get download helper. It will let you take any video/pic from the net and save anywhere you want. Works well too. When you save, you can save in flv format and not wmv, which is windows media video.
Hope this helps :)
