So any people here went deep enough to the rabbit hole to uncover who would be the first and foremost archetypes for the concept of Goddess and God. And any relevant info on these characters.
How far back can we go?
I hear that Gaia, Mother Nature looks to be the common figure in Goddess myths how about the male counterpart?
Would appreciate anything relevant to this subject.

god is every particle of light(and its reflection from matter), spreading in all directions

Okay maybe I should have been more clear, my concept of god is something like that, the sum and total of everything. Like whole universe as being one big consciousness manifesting itself. But I am interested about the pantheon type gods who could have been seen by people living in those times etc.
EDIT: read your topic, very thought provoking indeed.
I dunno that might just be the source if we go back far enough. How bout we go bit forward to those sentient beings instead of atoms and their parts :D
Damn didn't really expect to get such an answer on the first reply :D

archetypes are a subjective personification that we have created
monotheism (the worship of one god for a particular purpose or reason) is also a construct of ourselves
there is no 'better one' there is only various degrees of ego and belief
as for representing certain aspects of belief, ie masculine, there is a lot in greek, egyptian and roman mythology, check tartarus, hades and isis on wikipedia then click on all the blue lines to other gods/godesses
research is always good, because then you wont be misled my someones belief, or source of information (which could be wrong)
i believe that once people ( as in inhabitants of this world) 'walked away' form God decided chose to:
Raise objects, animals or natural 'things' to the 'rank' of diety forgeting that at a point ALL surrounding them was too, like them created by God which they 'forgot'.
Worship 'forms' and 'shapes' of the satanic 'entity' in various forms ,shapes and ways; sometimes knowing and sometimes not knowing what they were/are doing.

Damn I am always so vague, I have extensively studied pantheons. From all around the world. I am interested in where the figures in these pantheons originate from.
Like mother Gaia is very universal, she has multiple names but seems to be the same person all around the world.
Pantheons have always intrigued me for the possibility that those gods actually existed.

Well propably, but those beings with godlike powers like Osiris, Isis, Loki, Thor, Lucifer, Zeus, etc.. they must be based on some archetypes.

the God and the Goddess are just "archetypes" used to express the duality of this (particular?...) manifest Universe.
For instance: Hot/cold, up down, anxious/calm, loyal/treacherous, wet/dry, black white, man/woman, boy/girl, young/old, dity/clean, bright/dark, fast/slow, happy/sad, penis/vagina, colorful/dull, night/day, stormy/clear, war/peace, etc.
But! Whats the opposite of indifference?...i suppose you could say it's.... really caring either way about something...:D
What's the opposite of an elephant?........seems at some point the two "forces" can become seemingly indistict?

Thing is we might never know how and where those things originated from.
The problem (from my perspective) arises when some random wacky dude steps forward and claims to know it all, then goes and writes few books, few CD-s AND BAM !
A brand new amalgamation of 'stuff' turns into a very succesfull enterprise which so so easily screws over people's souls.
Oh and by the way , Lucifer doesnt belong in that list above, he was not a fictional character.

Could a Universe exist where it was based on a tri-ality, sorta?....but how could you have a third opposite to the first 2?.......does 2 only feel 'right" to us 'cos we don't know any better?....:D ok, time for a strong coffee and a Viva La Bam or something, methinks, lol.

Is there another word for synonym?
Any given word that has no relation at all to any other word available in a given language?

I'm going to have to be a pain in the ass now,
Does the OP mean to know the point in period time which the personifications of a particular culture were formed? Or the reasons why they were formed, the concepts of their creation(including the gods name and/or sources of these names and deeds for a particular 'god' entity)?
As everything is just chinese whispers, it would be safe to assume that gods were named, and have achieved whatever the last person said they did, even if it was false.

I mean like the first recorded Osiris / Isis type combo.
