Are our Romany cousins already freemen of the land?

I have come to the conclusion, over the last three to four years, that the country of my birth no longer exists. I long to escape this dreadful place in which I now find myself.

I believe that in the present circumstances, moving abroad is not the answer. I wish to continue to live in the UK, but I am sick of the petty rules and intrusions which blight my life.

I have considered selling up and buying a narrow-boat to live on, but I will still be subject to many of the aforesaid. Similarly a camper van would give me a greater degree of freedom than I presently enjoy.

After much consideration, I have concluded that our Gypsy community must know something I don't.

I think that they are largely undocumented and also don’t really give a shit,

I am also very tempted to buy a narrow boat and live on the river but there are just as many by laws for that than there are for living on the road from what I understand.

The system we live in the UK is becoming unbearable, but I find it hard to see a way out of except to leave.

know how you feel....

static caravan on a nice bit of land was something of a dream for me. All I ended up with was 40k corporate cans with extortionate site fees and 11month residency. havent found a land /land owner where I can just rent bit of land etc thats fairly secluded for security etc cos they want top dollar from developers or the like...

all boils down to greed....fucking greedy controlling greed munsters - hope the rug gets pulled from beneath them

The Gypsies are nothing but vagrants, drifters, hucksters and theives.

I want nothing to do with them.

Going around peddling shit and ripping off people is not my idea of freedom.

I dont think that the gypsies have any other option. Btw I am NOT condoning any actions of ANYONE who "rips people off". If we ALL lived free (and
loved our fellow man, and knew the true nature of reality), then there would be no need to "rip off" each other.

I have been thinking about selling everything I own and moving down south where it stays warm year round and live in a tent in a forest somewhere, preferably by a river or something. Grow my own food and what not.

The problem with that one is that pretty soon, down south will mean Selina Cruz!! Think Amero!

Good luck though. It is not an option that I would go for then but who am I?

Gypsies or Travelers maybe they choose the word traveler with good reason.
