Neat, I'm glad it wasn't bothered. They can give some nasty bites, but aren't much concern if they're left alone to eat frogs, lizards, and rodents.

Yeah, it didn't look like it wanted to attack me..It was very still like it was playing dead...It's head didn't even move...it didn't have a rattle on it's tale, so I knew it wasn't a rattle snake......I think it just wanted to get some sun and be left alone ;)
It fascinated me so I thought I'd share it with the forum family :D

Yeah, it was cool :D
Glad ya'll like my snake pic.
Next are the rabbits and hummingbirds....and maybe a bear ;)
then again, maybe not...:D
I have a significant problem with snakes. No one can talk me out of it - I know they have their role in Nature. I know they are here for a reason.
Amethyst, you're brave in my book!

Yeah I'd like to see a grizzly or even a puma as long as you don't get mashed up in the process of taking there photo's.:D
Apparently there used to be a lot of wild beasts roaming around Britain like wolves and buurs, but they got hunted out of existence.
Now we get the odd sighting of a black panther and the whole nation goes batshit.
Still we have golden eagles and ospreys and the odd sea eagle mooching about in the highlands of Scotland.
Your avatar is cool as well, the snow leopard is one of my favourite animals, the spirit of the himalayas, oh, the balance on the mystical cat, something special alrightee!

I was too interested to be scared really :D
He was so motionless, I think he was the scared one.....
If I had seen a rattle on the end of his tale, I might have been scared.....and would back up slowly....

Isn't that a shame that they got hunted out? :(
Cayotes and wolves have made a come back in the states.....(we have them where we live too) but ranchers out west don't like it, as they tend to eat their cattle...
I've been wanting to take pics of the deer that roam freely on my end of the forum but they are crafty! They don't always show at the same times and they either travel quickly or if I see them standing and munching I run for the camera and when I get back they are gone!

yeah those storys used to fascinate me.reading about the beast of bodmin
and eye witness accounts of people seeing them walk across country lanes
in front of cars.i watched a program once and it mentioned some people had liscences in the 1970's to keep such animals.i believe there may still be some out there they would obviously be at the top of the food chain and there would quite possibly be a sustainable amount of food for it to eat.
looks like a panther:eek::eek:
