I have just watched the entire series of the prisoner, the one with Patrick McGoohan. I was inpired to do so after visiting portmeirion.

I was shocked at all the mind control mk ultra themes and teh fact that it seems to be alll about control and the struggle of the individual, subjects that many on the forum are interested in.

There are many symbols such as the chess set, checker board, people with black and white masks.

I just wondered what other people make of this. The show seems to represent an alternative view, it points at an illuminati like group of people being in control yet it is pretty retro. There are so many metaphors that are still relevant today.

They are making a holywood film remake at the moment, but it's American and they have bastardised the whole thing imo and completey lost the whimsical british retro charm that makes it such a classic  but never mind.
