Posted this in another thread that died:
Last night scared me a little. I've been becoming more lucid, keeping a dream journal, had sleep paralysis, static booms in my head, odd dreams, but last night I semi-awoke and my whole body was literally buzzing/humming (I can't really describe it).
To begin with I was like, omg I'm gonna have an out of body experience...awesome, then of course I got scared and panicked, so I opened my eyes and the room was sort of spinning like it does when you're a child sometimes. I looked at the wall to my right and it was going jelly like. And kept getting the odd zaps of strobe light it seemed as well. I could also hear tone in my head, almost like the binal beats on youtube.
I shut my eyes in fright and felt my head being pulled through the pillow, like my body was really heavy, but more so on my head. Maybe I was escaping my body, I dunno.
Something was definitely coming, but I bottled it and ended up just going back to sleep in the end. In fact something may have happened but I do not recall it.
As I said, the night before this I dreamed my third eye opened, but this time something more real was going on.
Now when I meditate (I haven't really read how to do it correctly yet, it's all that knew to me) but I can sort of send a shock from the base of my spine and relax real easy, which creates a buzzing feeling in my head and I start to get the usual tunnel sensation with rapid eye.
Anyway all I have to say is this pretty damn cool lol, but I think I need to put the breaks on and study before I jump in to the Abyss, cos I know I'm gonna shit myself.

awesome.. you're experience sounds like more "sleep paralysis". I put it in quotes because I'm sure there's much more to it than what conventional science will have us believe.
I would just suggest keep up what you're doing and don't be afraid! I went through a period a few months ago where all sorts of things were happening like this. Sure enough it stopped after a while and now I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.. lol.. darn.
so yeah, no putting the breaks on. GO FULL SPEED AHEAD and take advantage of how you're currently in tune with things. Who knows how long it will last?

I think I might have to put a day aside to get going with it. For some reason at night I always end up getting scared if stuff starts to happen.
I'm not sure if it was sleep paralysis, I've had that many times before. I was fully mobile, unless I was just coming out of paralysis and forgot that's what I was doing lol.
What I find really amazing is what I'm experiencing is definitely something I can vaugly remember experiencing as a child. Like I'm re-learning what we all should be able to do naturally.

When you're lying in your bed at night
And pray that no harm can be done
I am inside your head, I am inside your room
I'm the voice that you will hear
Inside the dark I'm in control
The noise that you hear is so eerie and cold
The master of strings pulling your mind
Twisting and turning your soul is intwined

Had the same experience last night, but just less violent. I amost had to hold myself here. Still too scared to go with it.

Last night I left my body.
I had a dream I was speaking to a small Indian girl (really odd), I woke up and then went straight back to sleep in to the dream. I realized I was dreaming so kicked her lol and made her fly out of the window, (I hope she wasn't a spiriutal guide). Anyway I then fell out of my body with a static buzz and began floating to the ceiling.
I bottled it though.

Ialso had a very scary dream about fiery meteors taking out my house and killing us all. After dreaming a lot about stars that were moving I hope I'm not predicting anything.

Last night I went with it and was fully aware in my dream. I seemed to land on an almost matrix like multicolored surface, with nothing around, sort of like a white room. I said right, lets get this started and began swimming and gliding around the place. I then said I want to meet someone and forgive me for being selfish but I conjured up Buffy the Vampire Slayer and had a great time

It's perfectly natural to be feel an attack of the nerves and panic when all these things are taking place. I used to be amazed at all the forums and advice online for people trying to induce these states, I've been doing all this accidently since childhood and I regularly told folk who were trying to bring these experiences about that they may not actually enjoy them lol, I found the thought of it rather amusing, all these techniques being applied to bring on something that will scare the shit out of most of the people trying. My opinion on "sleep paralysis" is you are becoming lucid or aware as you shift to the astral body or just before it comes back in to the body. "sleep paralysis" is the medical explantion for astral projection, it's just that there's so much disinformation out there about what you should feel/see/hear/sense during astral or OBE that people dismiss there own experiences because it doesn't quite fit with what they have been told.
When you have experienced "sleep paralysis" in the past, have you expereinced a dual or split consciousness?, two trains of thought at once, ie being aware of your surroundings knowing you cannot move your body but at the same time having a seperate part of you experiencing a dream like state? That's simply an astral experience without the full shift, your mind hasn't fully switched off and you're experiencing from two seperate parts of the self, the physical body and the astral body.
You hit the nail on the head when you said you are re-learning what should come naturally. :D

The sleep paralysis generally happens as I'm waking up from a dream. My mind awakes but my body is not quite there yet so I'm almost forcing all my muscles to move, before I pop awake. Sometimes it mixes with a dream, so I might get the sensation of a witch laying on me or something.
Used to scare me, but I find it quite amusing. I'll sometimes wake up with scratches and my sister will say "has that witch been at you again" lol :p
This stuff is so cool though. Two nights in a row I've been able to simply wake up from a dream, quickly close my eyes and rethink the dream and then Woosh Lucid!
Last night was great. It was if i had my own computer program that I just had to imagine things and that's how it went.
It also brought a mass remembrance of previous lucid dreams I'd simply forgotten, and they all seem to have the same feeling, like it was all in the same world, or as I say computer template.
Plus I got to make out with Buffy!

Three strange things have happened to me in the past few weeks.
1. I was working with my back to the customers in our shop and I heard a man's voice giving his order over the counter. In an instant my mind pictured his face and clothing. When I turned around he was exactly the image I had seen in my mind.
2. I was serving at the counter and three people came in. Simultaneously I was able to see in my mind's eye what they wanted to order. Also I 'saw' that the husband knew what he wanted but thought his wife would disapprove, the wife was worried about the cost, the daughter was pissed off (but I couldn't get a fix on what). There was a little boy with them but he stayed outside and I did not 'see' anything in his mind at all. It all happened in the blink of an eye and then they ordered their food.
3. Yesterday - and this wrecked my day... I was serving two men at the counter and a lady got up to get her order from my husband. As she spoke (to cheerily say thank you) there was an almighty boom that seemed to come from her and it threw me backwards and I ended up with my hands up in the surrender position almost back to the wall behind me. The two men looked at me and apologised because they had been speaking to each other as well as me... I just said that it was OK but I have still not stopped shaking and it is now almost 24 hours. My thoughts were scrambled and I struggled to work the till or get orders correct all day. I do not know what happened or even if that lady had anything to do with it. The feeling was similar to what you get when a jet flies low overhead or the boom of a very loud base in a nightclub.
Please do not think I am nuts.

My first thought for 1 & 2 was maybe that you served the people before and your subconsious is the only one that picked up on it. You probably get that many cues a day that you mind can filter through it all and determine the best product for that person (that's just an idea).
But with 3 I have no idea. I guess you are just more intune than the rest of us. Some are bron to paint some are born psychic.
I guess my advice would be don't get scared.

I thought about the idea that they were people we had seen before but both were tourists who had come to see the whales.
I have always been sensitive to others, and have frequently gotten a 'vibe' from them but I've never been that spot on.
I guess I will find out sometime :)))

Great thread guys,
I have to confess to being a chicken when things start to happen, and the only thing I can put it down to is what if I get out and can't get back in again.
The closest I ever got was having a very intense vibration in my 3rd eye area that seemed to pervade my whole body and felt like it was going deep into my brain. I thought that if I took it further I would separate from my body, and of course, I bottled it.
Still working on it :)

Classic beginnings of an astral projection .Any thoughts of fear will most of the time pull your astral body back in to your physical body. The astral body is mainly controlled by our thought processes and is influenced by them.Try to just go with the flow, if you manage to project and find it too scary you just have to imagine or think you are back in your physical body and you will.

I'm losing the fear now that I had a full dream that I could control just by thinking "I want this to appear...I want to fly" lol
Trying to get another one, but it seems effort is actually a hindrance.

Trying to achieve any of the states you have described will defiinitely be a hindrance. For some years now I have been having similar experiences, I have never pursued them, quite the contrary. I have even been close to killing myself twice, each time something beyond this world saved me. I don't know what it's all about, and I hope that some of those who are enlightened on here could advise me. I know that from as early as I can remember I knew I was different, I also knew that the world wasn't what it seemed from a very early age.
As I have got older I have had very bizarre experiences on and off. Once I felt what seemed like bolts of electricity running through my blood...like the most intense orgasm but this was not sexual. I also get hot hands and feel compelled to massage (though the heat goes if I touch). I also have dreams which have come true.
Sometimes I get the most amazing insights, where images are freeflowing through my mind and everything in these random images are all interconnected, this I feel strongly, but I don't know what the images are as there are so many presented to me. I have decided to carry around pen and paper to try to record them next time it happens.
I also feel as if I am walking through cobwebs quite a lot.
Also, I am finding that my stomach is not able to eat meat any longer, in fact most foods apart from fruit and vegetables cause me a lot of stomach pain and sickness.
None of this has been of my choosing, just wondered if anyone could explain what it's all about?
I just wanted to add that I don't take drugs.

Sounds pretty scary, hang in there bro. Try and think of it all as positive.
