Only one crime is solved a year for every 1,000 CCTV cameras, police admitted yesterday.
The startling figure comes in a Scotland Yard report which warns that a network that can capture individuals as many as 300 times a day is failing to improve public safety.
Officers found that the million cameras covering London have helped clear up barely 1,000 crimes

The cameras are not there to help solve crime they are there to create an ambivelant society. With people in a heightened state of fight or flight for a prolonged period. This underlying aniexty will casue long term illness and other health issues in those who are affected by long term suvailance. Nothing they do is for our benefit. It is all about CONtrol.

It is quite simple.

Throw paint over them.

Then if they clean them.

Throw paint over them.

If every person joins together in each block and does this en masse - then they can never prove who does it and therefore it cant go to court. When the council come round to ask them if they saw who did it the Fawlty Towers comment " I know nothing" with the Manuel accent will suffice.

Councils take weeks and sometimes months to repair things in blocks like this. Eventually they will give up because they have not got enough money to keep going back and back.

It is up to the people in those blocks to decide whether they will live under this surveillance.

'I don't like the way the government are recording everyone, but I am willing to accept a bit less freedom for a bit more safety and peace of mind.

Comment from a tenant:(

With people like this it's no wonder they get away with it.

The housing associated explained the cameras would be installed to monitor and manage anti-social behaviour and crime on the estate.

Isn't installing cameras and watching people 24 hours a day anti-social? Isn't trying to control every aspect of a person's life anti-social? Isn't trying to instill fear, anxiety, and paranoia, anti-social? The hypocrisy of this is astounding. Like redskywalker has asked, why hasn't anyone ripped them down? if it were me, I'd spray paint them with black paint. :D
