I have a urinary tract infection and am taking Bactrin (sulfamethox/trimet) 2x a day for 5 days.

I am also taking Cranberry capsules.

Any other ideas for what to do?

Thankee! :o

You have my sympathies, drink a lot of water and avoid alchohol. Make sure you go back and give a sample a couple of days after the course of bactrin has finished to make sure the infection has gone.

Basically, don't mess about with water infections, they can turn pretty nasty and the organs they effect are instrumental in your wellbeing. As much as I like to dis big pharma sometimes antibiotics are the best way and it's best to take them!

I have had a bit of a nightmare with my waterworks this year, thankfully it's over now. If you have upper UTI and it persists get checked out for stones. Hope that helps.
