Horrific nightmares.

Hey guys, hope all is well. I just came on here to explain some dreams I've been having so brace yourself!

Over the last 5 years around, not sure precisely, but I've been having these horrific nightmares, usually once or twice a week. Now two of them ive learned to cope with but the one I had last night was beyond any integral spiritual strength I had and really shook me up. So let me split the categories up and go into a little detail about them


1. Tornado's
These started at in my teens. I'd be walking down a street or rural area then all of a sudden the clouds would turn black, and I would just start running, knowing a twister was on its way and would be definatly be in my proximity. All of a sudden it'd form.. and i'd be swept off my feet as if gravity didnt exist. For a few years I couldn't even look a twister on the television, they to this day horrify me.

2. Lava/Volcano's

These came around 3 years after the tornado's except these had a lot more detail and were worse. I live in yorkshire directly in the pennines, I live half way up on a valley and I've had dreams where some of the pennines have split open and spewed magma all over the place. Then the magma would flow down the hills and destroy anything within its path including my home and and on occasion my loved ones.

3. The most horrific one to date.

This one happened last night, directly after a Volcano based one, from waking up from the shock then going back to sleep. My girlfriend is pregnant in the real world and I have yet to tell my grandfather, he is old school and still lives in the 60's, he didnt speak to my mum for months when she was conceived with me and my sister. Anyhow..

Last night I dreamt I went to his house and took my girlfriend and we sat in his living room and told him. Then he went on a rant on how much of a idiotic mistake it was for my age and that I'd ruined my life. Then he said he was going to do me a favour and started to choke my girlfriend, I tried to retaliate by doing the same to him but i seemed infutile, as if I could do nothing.


My point is even though this is a dream It has put me off telling him even more, even though im sure he wouldnt the thought is still there.


Now as for what I think dreams are.. I dont think it's just a random string of events that gets compiled when were a sleep. I think it's us seeing ourselves in a multi-verse so to speak. It's just a theory and I would be glad to go into further detail if requested.

Yes they are that interesting, because it affects the way I live and perceive things with people. And how can you say "sometimes they involve demonic manipulation but so what?" what is that supposed to mean?

Depends on the individual. Those who harbor a lot of negativity attract negative entities like demons. These demons manipulate the persons dreams and turn them into nightmares to feed off the fear and negative emotions envoked by the nightmare.

If it effects you so bad, purify your mind and devote yourself to God in whatever way you see fit.

To god? Sorry mate, I'd rather beleive in santa clause first. God does not exist in my mind but that is just my opinion I will not judge others on there beleifs or dedications of lifestyle.

But I do respect your reply and I am grateful, however you were right about one thing, I have been attracting some negativity, I'll be out of a job next week, and also I have to tell my grandfather about my daughter on the way. So the law of attraction for me lately hasn't been that good :)

A friend of mines told me its common for negative entities to use apocalyptic scenarios to do what cleft said, to feed off your fears. Their job is to terrify and to feed off you. Ive had a few very similiar dreams like this, not in a while but when I was getting them a lot I meditated on the fact that it was my dream and I was in control of it before I lay down to sleep. It really seemed to help me, there was a period when they were quite common but when I tried a very simple thing they kind of went away.

God gets a bad wrap due to religions, which are man-made. God also gets a bad wrap because of all the evil in the world. The truth is that all that happends is God's will. He doesn't stop evil because it is a tool for the highest good, a means to an end. The "controllers" and the demons behind them create suffering. Without this suffering, we will never question existence to its very depth, remaining stagnant and following the path of least resistence, never rising to sainthood. (see my quote)

Some people don't believe in UFO's, or Reptillians or Big Foot, some people dont believe in something extra-ordinary. I don't believe in god, period. Asking god for help isn't good, to me it is a fairy tale asking the equivilant of you want santa to bring you..

I see god as an "easy" way for people to comprehend things and cope during life, thats there choice..

I am a spiritulist, I believe i am a tear drop in a sea bound with everybody. Maybe that doesnt come across to you but.. If people are ignorant not to believe in UFO's, which there is proof of, why should I believe in a titan-sized grey-bearded old man where there is no proof whatsoever of his existence which cannot be explained by science, mathematics, energy and vibrational waves?

I do not mean to be rude but, if god is the ruler of the heavens and satan is the ruler of hell.. did god meet up with satan for a cup of coffee and say "Oh hey Lucifer, how about I give you all the bad guys, I'll take all the good guys!"
Then luficer replies "Sure! But im not gonna cause anyone with pain with my fork though, because I waged war on you, and they didnt follow you, infact I welcome them to party yo!".

Yeah spiritually my defences are low and I am not as strong as I usually am. I've become more defiant, and come across as rude. The thing that's weird is..

I fear nothing, not even death. That's a rule I've followed for many of years.. but, on the other hand, I fear death of others... which is why I think the impact of the dreams are so large. But I will be trying to meditate, thank you for your response

You say you don't believe in God, yet when you have a discussion about his potential existence you depict him as the perfect Biblical expression. So who believes what all of a sudden?

Regardless, there is no such thing as extra-ordinary. Either everything is extra-ordinary, or nothing is. Either everything is a miracle, or nothing is.

Lezenko, this is gonna sound really 'new agey' and all, but I think that what remains of the ancient ones is trying to tell you something. About how the rigidity of the 'old timers' has caused the earth great pain, and they are just reminding you that the great mother could easily tear us a new asshole (collectively) and do to us what we did to her and her children unless we wake up and change our ways. But don't be afraid, the task of changing the world isn't as daunting as it seems. The mere fact that you had the trust to post this to total strangers on the internet for everyone to see, and then have people respectfully give you their opinion is proof that its already well underway. Just Love. You are supported by more forces of Love in everything you do that you could ever imagine.

And is the death of others really that bad, when it comes around in such an inescapable way? I know that sounds pretty callous, but think about it. I don't mean inevitable in the sense of war or anything, just in the sense that there was nothing any human being could have done to prevent or foresee it.

And if it is some kind of negative entity, all it is looking for is Love. Someone very wise once said that you cannot take Love. You can only give / receive it. Now if this entity is taking the fear it creates from you, and you give Love it, what do you think it will do? Sure it might not immediately stop leeching off you, but you will have started the process of awakening in a suffering soul. What greater Love is there?

You are fearful and uncertain, as your original post suggests. You came to us, we didn't come to you. It sounds to me like you are devoid of a spiritual foundation and lost. Forget God if he doesn't interest you. Meditate on the Self and transcend God, all objects, conscepts and rules. Nisargadatta will be on your level. If I've come across as agressive or insulting I do sincerely apologise, but can I ask you a question? You don't have to answer if you feel as if i'm going to penalise and ridicule you.

The reason I ask is because I believe in higher dimensional beings, but I am not sure if they are the creators so it may be unfair for me to call them god.

And I couldnt agree more! Certain tribes, shamans druids and alike worshipped the earth and realised how magnificent it is, they were in harmony with each other. I dont consider myself any of the above but over the last few years I have developed certain things in myself which I wouldn't of cared about 10 years ago. I will not harm any living organism, spider, fly, cockroach.. or the planet itself when I walk on grass it feels sinful but at the same time as if I'm connected like a magnet. I give respect to the earth and realise it is my home, and I love it very much!

hi lezenko have you looked into ways to increase your lucidity in dreams? this way you will be more able to react positively to a negative dream and turn it around into something that benefits you.

also too much focus on the negative side of conspiracies can create bad dreams. what we see during the day works its way into our minds and comes out during the night. i watched a werewolf film the other week (not usually a horror fan) and sure enough dreamt of wolves that night, although thankfully i was quite lucid so it was more of a funny wolf dream than a terrifying one.

6 years ago, when I first started reading that book, I had to stop because it was too deep. But there's little I don't understand now and it's now my favorite book. Ramana Maharshi and him say the exact same thing, which is to investigate yourself because you are the ultimate truth. Jesus had the exact same message before they made a religion out of him.

There is a hierarchy of gods, good and evil. But they are all part of the dream called the multiverse, God included. The only thing permanent is the Self. It's actually a paradox like most truth. The Self is the multiverse yet it transcends it.

I know exactly how you feel (my mom gets kinda annoyed and confused when I won't kill a spider or an ant, but you don't really know how to explain it to them. You know? Its something they have to see for themselves).

And I have a saying that I read somewhere that gives me a huge boost of everything when I feel bad about walking on the ground. Its 'tread lightly on Mother Gaia'.

That's right.

They also cause your relatives or loved ones to do or go through terrible things in dreams - because they know that's the most horrific for you.

Also, sometimes, if someone close to you or affiliated with you is being intensely negative about something, it can sometimes pollute your dream.

I had roommates, one of which hated the other but was intensely passive aggressive about it. One night I had a dream that me and him choked the other roommate? Obviously - I wanted nothing to do with those bad vibes but my other roommate, who I've been friends with for a long time - may have polluted my dream with his own intense vibes. My own involvement was a farce... something had manipulated my dream to get me involved in the choking.

*shrug* It happens.

The OP's nightmare about the grandfather choking the girlfriend reminded me of this, although I really doubt your grandfather is sitting around having negative thoughts... it's something else that's contaminated you.
