Good or Bad?

Is world government such a bad idea? There a many arguments against it, but it is possible that such a thing could work for the benefit of the people? How about how it's advancing today. Does it show the marks of a dictatorship? Please discuss. This is a really important issue and deserves it's own topic for discussion.

No, a world government isn't a bad idea. But the way in which these "rulers" we have today would construct it is bad. It'd be all about enslavement and no freedom/privacy as far as I can tell.

Local governments imprison and rape their own populations and a super-government would only do the same thing on an unchecked scale.

I don't need to be governed by anyone or anything.

I notice a lot of articles coming out now talking about NWO or world government seem to show quite an imperialist attitude. Yet they always seem to think that it's good for humanity.

it all depends on the morality and intentions of the people within the government. if our democratic society were truly democratic and administrated by caring selfless people our country would be a fantastic place.

i think world gov is a good idea, but some offshore places should remain still (for holiday)
