I have always appreciated the unique perspective of the Westboro Baptist Church. The USA would be a much poorer place without it. In the interests of diversity of opinion and freedom of expression, long may they continue.

That's not freedom or diversity. It's plainly and simply hate mongering and fear.

As you well know, without hate and fear there can be no love.

Hate is a necessary component of our world. It exists for a reason. You can't discard one side of the coin without discarding the other. You can't "love" evil out of existence.

And definitions of what "evil" is vary from place to place, time to time, religion to religion. That's what I mean by diversity. A few centuries back, witches were "evil". Now some of us believe that reptilians are "evil".

Or is diversity of emotion forbidden? Is diversity of religious views forbidden? Do we only allow diversity of race and of sexual behavior? And who does the forbidding? Who decides what diversity is "allowed" and what diversity is "forbidden"? The reptilians in power, perhaps? Maybe the reptilians have reason to forbid "hate". Maybe that's why we are encouraged to "love" at all costs, and never to "hate" - because then we might start doing the one thing they fear the most - hating them for the evil that they do.
