(Aug. 23) - An unknown creature caught on video lurking beneath a lagoon in West Palm Beach, Fla., has the city wondering what it could be, WPTV.com reported Sunday.

The mysterious creature was videotaped by the LagoonKeepers.org, a group that patrols the city's waterways in search of debris. "I hollered out ... and said, 'What is that?' We followed it, started taking video," said Greg Reynolds, a member of the group.

Don Serrano, who was with Reynolds, said the creature was "different, very different."

Reynolds said he and Serrano tried to catch up to it, but that every time they would get close to it, "it would just disappear." He named the creature "the elusive muck monster."

Thomas Reinert, a marine biologist who works for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, studied the video and said the creature appears to be moving in one direction and that it was not breaking the surface.

"Typically dolphins break the surface, sea turtles, manatee, a large school of fish. If it were a shark at that level, you would see a fin," the expert told WPTV.

"I can't definitely say what it is," he added.

Call that a monster coco?

Hmph, not like the monsters we used to get. I remeber when we used to get proper monsters, monstres that et' people and burned stuff and made a mess of the place. They were proper monsters, not like the ones you get nowa days, nowadays monsters just swim about under the water and don't make hardly any mess - and hardly anyone gets eated now days.....

This is a proper monster :-)

EDIT: Proper monsters could only be defeated by real bad acting.......

Isn't that the truth.

Er! I mean proper monsters being in short supply these days, of course.

They used to tear up the city, destroy the power plants, stomp buildings and cars. It's no wonder insurance rates escalated they way they did!

On another thread some one posted newly discovered WWII photos but they forgot these: :p

How did they get those vests on them?
