The problem of Trolls & Antagonistic Posters

The problem of Trolls and antagonistic posters in this forum may actually be caused very much by 1, 2, or more of the Moderators of this forum who are taunting people and agrivating circumstance, wether it be here in this official forum or across at 'The Forum'.

Take forinstance the following quote made recently by Third Wave in 'The Forum' towards many of its members there. Third Wave is a Moderator here in this forum for those who don't know.

So what do you think? Proffesionalism? Thinking things through properly? Can it actually be seen the damage and further antagonism thats being promoted, causing grief in this forum of which the Moderators play a responsible part?(Ok, it may very much be an irresponsible part in a responsible role)

One other Moderator was being generally anoying yesterday in saying I was someone else (KOTM), or I must be his brother or blah bloody blah. This moderator is simply an idiot, sorry, but its true. (I await my infraction points, thank you)

Then there was another one yesterday who deletes one of my threads without telling me, then comes back to me with some lame excuse and an arrogant attitude.

Fun and games eh?

Will sure take a while for this place to settle, and I fortell some immature and generally clueless moderators getting stripped of their divine rights.

You obviously have never been a moderator of a forum, so perhaps are not aware that most moderator control panels have access to many more functions than posters. One of the tools available to a moderator is the ability to check posters by their IP addresses, so if thirdwave has accused you of being KOTM then I would be inclined to believe him.

Besides, IP's can easily be messed about to look like something they aren't

Youre obviously jumping to much conclusion, and its further obvious that you and some moderators here are clueless.

As far as my browsing the web goes, it shows up that I have the same IP as thousands of other people here in the UK. Thats the result of the way my ISP and several other large ISP's manage their IP adress pools.

He is doing a great job as a moderator from what I have seen. I can see of course any infractions or warnings issued to any poster and for what reason. From what I can make out after going through this information and making an assessment he has only done what was necessary, when in fact necessary.

If you are not happy with the decision of any of the moderators here, you are more than welcome to PM myself or any of the Mods here to explain why you feel the way you do and we can look over it again and assess the situation with the new information you provide.

Thirdwave is also allowed his own opinion on any topic he likes. That comment was not posted on this forum so therefore it is what it is, a personal opinion posted on a nother forum.

He is unable to use his job as a moderator here to inflict his personal vendetta's or whatever, on anyone due to his opinion.
His job as a mod here is to moderate THIS forum in accordance to the rules set out to all moderators. His time would be short lived if he used this position to exploit his opinion of other posters and not work within the rules we all have to work within.


We are doing he best we can here and I am sorry you feel this way about us.
I would be happy to discuss any problems and try to resolve them via PM

ps - as an aide - The PM thing wont work so well, as when people have issue they will speak openly in order to gain maximum coverage and attention. Human nature.

The trick is to run the place in such a way where there is far less tendancy for people to complain or take issue. ;)
This instead of trying to shut them up forecfully by deleting their messages etc...

Thirdwave doesn't need a plot to discredit him. He does it pretty nicely all by himself. A example of good moderating is teslafire. He's fair, polite, mature and can I say, moderate, in his moderating technique.

Thirdwave of course is allowed his opinion on any topic he likes. However, I feel he is flitting between here and the forum, winding people up over there saying how he's going to clean this place up of all "us" trolls. By trolls he basically means anybody who has a negative opinion of David Icke or anything he says.

He is using his position of "power" here to continue his vendettas. He snuck like a slimey toad into one of my posts and completely changed it. That is purely wrong. It didn't contain any porn, swear words or insults toward anybody.

I much like Cosmonaut, await my infraction points.

I agree I should have been giving a good telling off there, this is why forums need moderating, so arguments do not go too far..we are all passionate about what we believe but cant just fly off the handle, thats why I love this place.

The point made quite simply is that YOU and other moderators are very much the cause of what you are trying to stamp out or be rid off from this here forum. Do you even realise it????????? Do you Thirdwave? Do you realise this?


A general question:

Who is moderating the moderators? Because some of the moderators are not heeding the guidelines of which they are enforcing on others?

I mentioned this to Sean yesterday when we were exchanging a few words, though he quit responding at that point.

Just for clarification, Tonto made the statement that Cosmonaut was KOTM in the private moderator forum. I was going off that information when I accused him.

Cosmonaut, your statement intrigues me. I was unaware that ISP's would issue the same address to multiple users, and if this infact the case I apologize.

Lastly, why don't you chill the fuck out man, it's all fun and games. That's why I live, to have fun. I offered to help moderate the forum because I thought it would be fun to help out, not go back and forth about who's being oppressed on a forum.

This forum belongs to the webmaster, what he says goes. It doesn't matter if it's fair or not. Can I walk in your house and piss on your carpet? If so then PM me with the address and we can hook up.;)

I hate to make assumptions, no wait, that's a lie. Actually I don't mind that much... This is all just guessing, but... I think it's quite possible your an experienced 'troll'. One that actually knows what hes doing. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe these are legitimate concerns, and if that's the case then I should of addressed you more professionally before, but I'm sure if you have any experience in forums then you'll know it's a complete waste of time to deal with actual 'trolls' like that since it's exactly what they want.

Personally, I would find it rather clever to beable to pull an op like this off. Posting continuous threads that are guaranteed to instigate inner conflict and what not. I read your vegetarian thread though. I didn't see anybody getting oppressed in there. Infact, I don't think I've seen any abuse of power anywhere.

Everytime an infraction is given out it is automatically posted in a forum that the moderators can view. I've seen a couple infractions that I felt were unjust and commented on that appropriately, but when I say a couple I do mean just that. Off the top of my head I can recall an instance of an infraction given to someone for posting a thread with swearing in the title, but that was before the language protocols were set up. Simple confusion, and I do think it was remedied.

The only place where excessive moderation is taking place is in threads like this, devoted to criticising the moderators. Why? Matter of opinion. Those who run the forum believe that it is for the discussion of relevant topics, and I assure you if you stick to relevant topics you'll find your freedom unrestricted. You can start a thread that argues completely against everything David Icke has said and you wll find no moderator restricting you. Unless you post shit like "David Icke is a fucking idiot.", "How the fuck can you agree with him you stupid shit!", and so on. Those are against the guidelines which are clearly written.

Now, as to this thread, I have no say in what happens to it, that is up to others. Personally I'd assume it will be found contrary to the general topic of the forum and thus be removed or locked, but that is not something I will do, it is not my place. If those who run the forum decide that this type of discussion is valid then I can forsee a long healthy life for this thread. Their choice, not mine, not yours.:)

As to giving you an infraction for calling me an idiot? I don't see why, you're only stating the obvious.

So why did you come here? Was it to argue in threads like this or just discuss things in general? I hope it's the latter, why not let this one die and go post your opinions in other threads? Just an idea, do what you will.

I think the bigger problem on this forum is the multiple identities which are here to stir trouble.
ironically it is only the moderators who know this. Less ironic is your your behaviour toward thirdwave.
