Peru Quake and More....
The 7.9 magnitude quake that struck Peru last night killed hundreds of people and injured thousands. Aftershocks over 6 on the Richter scale have been reported.
In light of this, plus the quakes in Japan, Hawaii,, the Solomon Islands and Indonesia, the coast of California is in even more danger of a major quake occurring.
There are also volcanoes erupting now in Alaska, the Philippines, Hawaii, Indonesia and Ethiopia. There is a lot of magma movement across the globe. Everyone should be watching and taking precautions.

I used to live in earthquake-prone New Zealand, and we were always taught that if you're inside the house when a quake hits, you run for the nearest door-frame and stand underneath it because it the strongest area of your house. A strong wooden table is good also. ALWAYS get away from brick chimneys which are notorious for collapsing during a quake, and away from windows which can shatter..
If outside, get out of the way of tall trees and overhead power-lines.

Quake allows mass prison breakout
AS Peru's powerful earthquake brought down their prison's walls and lights, 66 guards could only watch helplessly while nearly 700 inmates escaped into the night.
It was good for some...

i was always told get under a doorway or desk. i was in japan at the time of the big kobe earthquake and most people who survived RAN OUTSIDE. after looking into the matter i intend to run outside if i am ever in an earthquake.
there was a good shaker one night when i was sleeping heavily... my bf woke me up so i could feel it. i jumped up and started throwing clothes at him, intending for us to race outside... my heart was pounding with adrenaline! all the time he was calling my name, to tell me, it's over already.

I heard that this earthquake repeated magnitude 5.0 or above on the scales multiple times. Is this some kind of record for after shocks or what?
