I wonder how often that happens...
Because it is supposed to sound like it were spelled "Ike", but with the actual spelling people tend to read it as "Ick"...
Just having a laugh about it, because i've misread it at first as well, though luckily i never mention the forum URL or his name to anyone....

I'd heard it pronounced properly before I knew who he was, but can't see me making that mistake anyways.

Well.. i'm not a typical member of this forum. Not to say special, just different... Different views than what i can gather of the general forum population... but my simpler, more mundane, less disneyfied take on them probably doesn't soothe people's minds as much as the reptilian story :D
I'm also someone that has never seen/held/read DI's books...
So, his books, while a good read for some, differ from my own take on what's going on. It's not my style, not something that i would allow to represent me... i hope that answers your question :)
In fact, four years ago, when i skimmed thru another website that mentioned reptilians on one page, i assumed it was some sort of an inside joke.

yeah someone trying to expose David as a shill called him David Icky LOL!!!
