You need to be on the elctoral register to be able to vote.
If you are a British,Commonwealth, irish or European Union citizen you are required by law to give your name and address so that you can be included on the eectoral register

all the local councils are quoting this yet when looking on the statute database no legislation exists

So no mention of the actual law then. Just a required by law intimidation tactic.

From The Select Committee on Office of the Deputy Prime Minister: Housing, Planning, Local Government and the Regions.

66. The question of whether registration is compulsory in the UK is a debateable one. The Government's view, as expressed in its memorandum to us, is that "registration is, in effect, compulsory at the time of a canvass".[138] This is because it is an offence, punishable by a fine of up to £1000, to fail to supply information to a registration officer when requested or to supply false information. The Electoral Commission, on the other hand, describe the present situation as "a curious hybrid of compulsion and voluntarism," since there is no compulsion to register under rolling registration (and no offence of providing false information when doing so).[139] In addition, the penalty is barely used and the current sanction is regarded by many as "largely unworkable".[140] The Commission is not in favour of applying the sanctions more rigorously but of spending resources on "programmes and initiatives designed to encourage and educate about the importance of registration, rather than focused on deterrents for non-compliance with regard to the return of the annual canvass form."[141]

Even they do not really know!

I've been thinking about electoral roles a bit recently and I noticed that my recent registration/ballot card (the card sent through that you take with you to polling station) had my name in this format:

Joe Bloggs

with no mention of Mr and not in capitals. Now I think (purely my thoughts) that when it comes to voting they know that ONLY humans can vote, therefore they have to address you as such.

Not sure what the significance of this is really, other than (potential) proof that there is a distinction between MR JOE BLOGGS and Joe Bloggs

By signing and returning their form you are confirming your consent to be governed. No matter how 'your name' is written, it refers to the strawman, and the living soul is required to make a joinder.

When the last form came, we refused to sign it and when the poll cards arrived, we sent them back with notices that we do not give our consent to be governed.

Only strawmen can vote. Living souls should elect people of their choosing. Voting is not electing. Voters are not electors. All the people that stand for council, parliament, etc, are pre-selected by the ptb. There is no real choice and there is no democracy.

To receive the voter registration form means they are inviting you as a living soul to downgrade yourself to a voter and confirm your willingness to be enslaved by the system.

I'm not sure I totally agree with you here. How do you KNOW they are attempting to create "joinder" by you sending back the form?

Also, if independents spent the time to rally in their constituency and provide solutions to problems they COULD be voted in to power. They WOULD be elected and therefore those who voted would therefore be their electors.

There is a choice, there is potential for democracy. The problem is that apathy has taken hold of this country, whether as a result of a common purpose of certain people, or whether it is because X Factor is more important, I do not know.

If you are out of the system then cool, I am impressed, as I am still considering my options. If I leave the system I do not feel I am in a position to influence the system or to exercise any of my rights granted to me by being in it.

Perhaps it's possible to change the system from within. Sorry to use a cliché but Neo could only defeat those attempting to influence/abuse the matrix by entering it and being a character within. Cheesy I know, but hopefully you see where I'm coming from ;)

perfectly put m8.. especially changing the system from within.. thats what im going to do myself.. u really cant change anything from outside, unless u have a million strong army who is willing to put their lives in the front line, but we all know that is not the case.. u can hardly find 5people to play football together let alone alot more to change something.. Do what the jews do, get in the system and make it work for u ;)

Cheesy ... maybe ... but exactly where my head is at right now.
Play outside their rules; they can ignore your efforts (which they have done when you look through this forum).
Play within their parameters, comprehending the rules and how to use them against the system; some possible remedy.

be warned if you are on the ER, your name will be google searchable on a website called www.192.com. it will list where you live and what other "occupants" live with you.

so much for data protection

I have a big problem with this.
Recently I got a letter from the Electoral dudes.
It stated that my ex-partner could not be located,
and as her name is 'on their records'
(probably meaning they had searched the land registry)
they were automatically putting her on their records as living at the property still!
I was absolutely fuming, as this obviously creates a liability at this address for council tax.
So I emailed them and told them what a fucking joke it is.
Still not heard back from them... this was about a month ago.
Another cunt who I have to be arsed writing to (again) when I should have no obligation.
Cheeky fucking bastards.

stop paying council tax then, they cant do anything to you.

they cant arrest you, as a court summons wont be signed by the judge, so even if the person who knocks on your door accompanied by a police officer, they PO cant arrest you, as an unsigned court summons is not worth the paper its written on. If you volunteer to go to the court with them, they can arrest you there on their corporations property, so just dont go - all this is according to john harris - listen to his recent manchester radio online interview for more details.
