I've been investigating the validity of the theory regarding a large object colliding with the sun between aug/22 - sept/4. I saw a few images of it taken from SOHO, but such things can always been created with photoshop. I went to try and find an image of it on the SOHO website itself, initially to no avail.

I decided to try an extremely basic trick - checking for an open index. I found the last few days of SOHO images archived in .zip files.

The index is here: http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/data/realtime/c3/1024/

The file I found the image in was 20090816.zip. Now you can check it for yourself.

I do not mean to claim that this image proves the theory, but at least this proves the image was not faked.

Hi inverselogic,

Thanks for the post.

I just stumbled upon the brown dwarf story the other day at glp. Just in time! Hehe. But ya know, we're fucked anyway.

Pick your doom. It's all happening right now.

So I go through the day spreading as much love and light as I'm able to. Livin' like there's no tomorrow, baby! I should have been living my whole life like this.

I don't know if this is going to be real or not, but I do know we are in for some turbulence rather soon.

Either way, I see no reason to dwell on things we cannot change. Focus on what we can change - which is what we are doing right NOW! Such as staying up all night probing NASA websites... :D

Oh hey, if someone with a glp account could go spread this to them, it would be useful. I don't have an account or wish to create one, but I think they might want to see this.

Is this the sort of thing that Garry McKinnon is being extradited for. Snooping about in their registry could be made to fit any charge they drempt up I expect.

It is just an open index, not even a registry. Nothing invasive or unscrupulous. You can find these index pages on google directly sometimes. I simply went to the URL the "latest" image was located in - that is really all.

I'm almost flattered you compared my findings with Garry McKinnon. He was actually a brilliant hacker. I just know how to use google and firefox. :D

It seems there is a search able archive on the SOHO site, but it has so many fields to enter that I couldn't get it to work for me. These files are likely available using those means if anyone has the patience for it.

I'm not saying that you hacked the admin passwords. What I am saying is that in ten years time when someone is in a position of affulance, influence or control. They could bring out some trumped up charge based on some low level snooping of an open registry. Knowing what you know. Would you trust them not to? I know my answer to that question.

Well of course they could put out some new law to make this illegal. But I will point out that a registry and an index are fortunately very different things in this context.

But, if I cared about them getting me, I wouldn't post on these forums at all. I say let them come. I don't care about such external threats.

McKinnon did good.

If Jesus Himself came back, he would be shot or incarcerated and made a state secret to protect the same old elites.

Everyone has the capacity to be of divine purity. However the trouble comes when we are born unto this land. Then the evil intentions of others currupts us before we have even learnt what is right and wrong. The matrix call it what you will. Is contantly attempting to complete its cycle once more. I would guess that another divine pure individual is one of the requirements for this to take place. I'm just glad its not me!

That image is compelling, invers.

Is there anyone/how to work out the distance the 'object' is from the Sun?

seen it -comes and goes quickly. Something small passing close by the camera I think. Certainly not a huge object near the sun

Yeah it is probably nothing. But ya know, the one thing I ignore or dismiss, will be the one that actually happens. haha.
