The Council of Copenhagen, headed by former Bilderberg participant Ritt Bjerregaard, has launched a trial project to get bicycles chipped "to stop bi-cycle theft", under the theme "get a little chip on"

On August 28 there will be a "chipping event" on The Square of Israel in central Copenhagen...

In addition to the website, the Council has launched a facebook application with more than 3000 members, with comments such as "more chipping please"

The argument that the this initiative will stop theft is wrong though, as the chips only works on short distance. In other words, you would need to know where the bicycle is to find it. Other than that, it has already been leaked that the chip is physically placed in the back light of the bicycle, which all thieves should be aware of at this point.

The motive here, of course is, to get people to see chipping as a positive thing...

..and to be able to monitor both cars and bicycles.

So obvious. I do not consent. Say it!

Kevin Warwick wanted to become a cyborg, and by my terms, he is that by now. ;)
What's so bad about it? It's great technology, and it has many benefits.

Driving a bike while drunk is NOT an easy thing to do. Or so I've been told... I'm not the type to jump in and get chipped first, but I'm all for supporting someone else if they want to.

Awww, come on Ron. Have a little fun. All they'll do is follow you around all the time. LMAO! You need to put a fake license plate up on your bike one day just for laughs and see if any cops spot it. LOL! :p;):D

Putting a license plate on my bike

Seems like a bit of overkill. I'm recognizable enough, with longish graying hair, scruffy beard, black bandanna to keep the sun off, and my snazzy Hannah Montana bike. ESPECIALLY when I insist on taking it through the car wash.

The police know who I am.;)

I'd rather get fish and chipped personally.
