View Full Version : How David Icke Made My Day...

Hi everybody,
I just returned from Mt. Shasta after seeing David speak and just wanted to say it was one of the best presentations I've ever seen. A friend and I drove from Lynden Wa, to Weed Ca, a 650 mile trip and would do it again in a heart beat. It was absolutely the highlight of my life to finally see David speak after reading all of his books, seeing all of his DVDs and television specials. I know how cliche' it must sound but David completely changed my life - or rather, confirmed so much of what I was already feeling, seeing and experiencing in the world. I'm sure you all have heard David speak about the events in his life and how the synchronicity becomes apparent. Well, every step in preparing for this trip and what was to happen just fell together like it was "supposed" to happen... After the presentation my friend and I hurried back out to the truck to walk the dog. We started walking across the parking lot and just on a fluke I happened to turn back and saw David coming out of the building...
This is always a touchy one for me because I know how absolutely exhausted he must have been and I'm sure the last thing he wanted to see was a "Super Fan". But again, something just told me - "go to him"... I approached with my hand out and asked if I could shake his hand. He was more than gracious and even more patient as every question I had ever wanted to ask him came rushing up into my mouth. I could barely formulate my sentences and it took everything I had to keep them down.
to make this long story short We shook hands, I told him what an honor it was to finally see him live and like the wonderful spirit he is, he took it in stride, gave me a hug, posed for a photo and was truly kind to this awkward kid from "cow town" USA. Thanks so much again David, you made my day!

I had planned to go to California to see David, but we had massive unexpected expenses earlier this year which pretty much killed our trip to California, as well as our vacation to Mexico :(
Everything for a reason!
But if David came to the east coast, I'd walk to see him, if I had to. ;)

Excellent :p
He is inspirational, isn't he? The first time I heard him speak was at the end of a longish tour and he had lost his voice. However, he still managed to talk (well croak) for 8 hours.

Wish I could have seen that live, not just clips of him via the internet. Anyone that preaches infinite love (for everyone) has got to be at least half good. ;) :)

Thanx Tinnie,When Icke was in Seattle in 2004, I got a ride down, but I had to hitchhike/walk back. I walked for 8 hrs. straight, before I got a ride. A lady picked me up and gave me a mini tour of the area.:) I had blisters on my blisters, on my feet! I saw the Dry Falls by Coulee City. They were the largest in the world.

THAT was in Brisbane in 2001. Just after 9/11
I was in London last year too. I was planning a trip to the UK anyway, so it wasn't too difficult to organise :)

Thanx i am. I have to ask this, even tho I know there are a lot of people living in that area. I have a long lost ex-roomie/buddie named Des McDowell. He was a plumber back in the 70s. I wonder if you know of him??? He lived/lives in that area Nashville/Bald Hills??? Could you look in the phone book for me??? I haven't seen him in over 30 years!

That's really nice, thank you for sharing your experience with us!
I too feel David has had quite an impact on my life and thinking. The latest video casts have helped me in a similar way you say his speech helped you......so many of the pieces coming together.
A really sweet photograph of you both too:)

Hi Nick
I just remembered this :o
I have looked in the phone book under plumbers and there are no McDowells. There are a few D McDowells listed in the white pages but none in the Bald Hills area. Nashville????
Here is the URL for the white pages http://www.whitepages.com.au/wp/index.jsp
Sorry I can't help further.

This is the week we were supposed to be in Cancun Mexico.
I knew there had to be a reason why we didn't go. Everything for a reason.
