I like dragons, but do not particularly like spiders, so spiders are worse.

I'm not afraid of dragons at all, A lot of dragons are very majestic and loyal creatures. There are fearless and powerful of course. But they certainly have an air of a fire spirit within them.
Spiders are creepy things. They are no connection with mankind at all. They do not come from this galaxy either. They are SPY-DERS. 8 legged freaks that play with the reality around you. I'm learning not to be afraid of them. But of course that's easier said than done. I communicate to a spider in my bathroom. I send the vibe of an ok feeling. The spider is female and has a coweb in the corner of the window. This is what I sent out. She is not afraid of me. Normally i freak and go hysterical of having cowebs in my bedroom or bathroom. I hate spiders. I will not sleep in my room with a big spider in it. Small spiders don't bother me at all. It's the big ones I just can't take. But this smallish spider in my bathroom has been there 2 weeks now and it don't bother me at all now. I still think spiders are disgusting creatures though.
It's kind of weird now that it doesn't bother me. I'm sure she is not bothered by me now. :)
3months ago I had a MASSIVE spider on my face, I never fucking forget that. i got up that morning and put on my night gown, and it was in my hood. I didn't know it was there at all. I was getting my breakfast. I was fixing my hood as I came back into my bedroom to get changed and the hood came over my face as I was taking it off. The spider came on my face. I thought it was just the hood feeling off my face. I looked in the mirror there was this huge black spider on my face. I kneejerked so fast with my left hand swinging reflex to get it off landed on my bed and flattened him in all under 2 seconds. It was horrible.

Yeah, what's the deal with spiders? I have a very irrational and troublesome fear of them, and I jcannot figure out why! I've researched spider symbolism, thinking that perhaps what the arachnid STANDS for was the root of my fear, as opposed to the spider itself...
What I've gotten thus far is that the spider has been described as weaving the web of the Matrix, (though I've seen this written in a positive context).
What are some theories on the origins of spiders? Do they have reptilian connections? Above, someone mentioned the possibility of spiders being SPIES. I'm interested in this ontology...
Perhaps many are terrified of spiders because they invade the sacred space of privacy... something I think that especially today, we are all terrified of losing... connection?
Further thoughts?
