There's a show on TV at the moment about her life / career.

Paraphrase-
'There's so much energy in the Earth that I imagined the power running up through my legs. It made me feel like I could do anything.'

That just made me smile. I had to share it.

So true.

I've often thought that's why we walk around with rubber soles on our feet, to disconnect us from the earth's power.

There is a lot of truth to that statement.

It's not electrical energy it's yin chi so rubber souls makes no difference. According to ancient philosophy man stands between heaven and earth as a conduit connecting both yin and yang, anyone who has practiced Tai Chi, Chi Gong or meditation should have felt this.

Thanks for posting noewhan..:)

No problem.

There could be a slight difference when using rubber or metal souls. I'm not quite sure. Tai Chi, Chi Gong or meditation is different than moving large physical objects... Maybe :P

Cheers.
