I think it was Stephen Greer I heard talking about this but don't quote me on that, but apparently the movie was the biggest hack job, after he told the movie people what had happened he said they just went with the worst case scenario and it was nothing like what had happened to him.

Now I haven't heard the interview yet so it will be a test to Greers proof if it turns out the same. Anyway Greer said the dude was watching this thing hover in the woods and all sorts of sparks were coming from it as it was above the damp ground and trees. While he was watching a spark hit him in the chest and knocked him unconscious and stopped his heart, they "picked" him up because it was their fault and Greer said the guy said it was the most beautiful and respectful experience of his life and it was twisted out of all meaning just to turn it into the horror story that was the movie.

So is that close?

Some of what you said is very similar to what Travis said exspecialy about it being their fault

Aparently he ran towards it thinking it would have taken of before he got near it but when i dident he though Oh! F*** and diden't "runlikehell" out of there
Maybe the light/beam was a thruster that hit Travis during take off and was an accident!

Obviously the movie people have got to do thing their way, theres some truth in it, but there's still stuff that's been added

Still it's a good movie, and after all these years later a very intriguing story :)

I watched the movie for the 4th time last night.

It's a great film.

However they did change some things in it (for dramatic effect?), they also left some stuff out (the blond humanoid).

The Travis Walton story is absolutely fasinating.

The fact that they all took and passed lie detector tests is impressive (although not 100% conclusive).

Having said that, I still have this filed under "interesting shit" and not "absolute proof", there may have been something else going on here.

Did anyone ever watch the greatest X-FIles episode ever and possibly the greatest piece of TV ever called "Jose Chung is from Outer Space"?

This episode touches base on so many levels, perception, deception and reality.

I wonder what the real Travis Walton story is.
