Subject: Please sign this IMPORTANT Petition against Codex Alimentarius (it just means Food Code - the Latin name is just meant to confuse us or think its not to do with us, but it will affect everyone)

I know some of you will be familiar with this, for others you may not be aware of what parliament is about to do in your name. Codex Alimentarius is a law designed to hand over the control of natural remedies to the pharmaceutical giants. Unless we take this last opportunity and act now we will not be able to buy vitamins or health/nutritional supplements without a doctor's prescription - they will be banned from 31st December 2009.


UNLESS THERE IS MASSIVE OPPOSITION IT WILL GO AHEAD.

Like many health and safety matters this was started with good intentions, in 1962 by the United Nations, to establish international free trade foods but has become a major threat to our civil liberties and freedom of choice.

It's been posted several times previously, & stickied at times, so that's (hopefully) the reason why not as many have responded as you expected. It's a good thing to see it again though, as new members may have missed it previously. I'm not sure this is the rignt sub-forum though. Maybe I'll move it when people who frequent this one have had more chance to see it.

Can't believe they are going to try and take away all nutrients this is insane!!
Whatever they do with food resources, natural nutrients and organic stuff should be left alone. Let those goons who pass the laws eat the poisoned crap! I really would just like to ask these evil fruitloops in power how they would feel in our shoes. Any evil people I can contact through e-mail, any kind of leader, law maker, or whatever? Btw thanks for the link for the petition in U.S., I filled it out although it's a bit unfair because the amount doesn't seem to be good enough. If more people knew about it then good but they don't advertise on T.V. that they plan on ruining food so not many really know what's going on. Trying to keep optimism is difficult anymore.
