Make your own, you'll be sure to get maximum benefits from it ! Just mix a little cayenne powder in a hot cup of pure water (distilled or reversed osmosis). Most health food stores carry the powder...

You can also put it into capsules yourself. I would think a good combination might be Cayenne, Turmeric, Milk Thistle, and Artichoke, all of which can be bought in 4 or 8 oz bulk containers. Another good combo might be to put it into capsules with a combination of Oregano, Thyme, Rosemary, sage, parsley, and cilantro.

I am having a lot of fun making my own supplements this way. It is very liberating and saves a ton of money.

I find the tea quite difficult to palate myself, so have it in a tincture, you do quickly adjust though and can take hotter and hotter, or more and more.

If you are in the UK herbs-hands-healing do good tinctures but are a bit pricey.

If you want to get some powdered I would avoid supermarkets as theirs is usually junk. You want to look for high scoville, Dr Schultze's powder is 250,000 Scoville units, but you can find higher if you are brave enough!

From the above link, click on circulation and the cayenne powder is there (USA link though so expensive shipping to the UK).

A great number of blended tinctures use cayenne as one of their main herbs, it is a master herb to be sure.

Or you could buy dried chilli and grind/powder them

I have the Naga Jolokia and Yucatan Habenaro both pack a tasty punch and heat hit.

Note for those wondering why cayenne tea.

Homeopaths, herbologists and various other alternative doctor types where asked.. if they were hypothetically stuck on a desert island with only ONE plant/herb for any eventuality which would it be.

The unanimous winner was cayenne pepper.

This sounds good!

Anything with capsaicin I am kind of addicted to. I use more hotsauce then human beings probably should, but I've read that capsaicin from peppers and cayenne etc. is a big boost to the metabolism, immune system, etc.

Helps for fat loss and strangely enough, is supposedly beneficial to sex drive :p Another reason spicy women and spicy food are awesome.

how about cayenne, lemon + cinnamon? Would that work?

I have tried to drink it in the past, but it prickles in my throat. I now mix it in food, like tuna and pasta and stuff. When you get used to it everything starts to taste bland after though.

I add cinnamon to my green tea, that is also a fantastic herb with similar properties as cayenne.

I make cayenne capsules, usually with ginger to make it a little milder on the stomach and help with digestion (I use cayenne 80,000 Heat Units, super hot stuff). If anyone wants to try the super hot stuff, make sure you're careful cause it burns on the way in...as well as the way out .

My favorite recipe in capsules for heart health: cayenne, ginger, crushed hawthorne berries :)
