Has any body here read the Emerald tablets of Thoth? If so, what are your opinions.....illuminati material?

From what I've heard on this forum, they apparently pale in comparison to the Book of Yahweh.

the book of thoth (Emerald Tablets) is the greatest piece of literature ever written

I haven't yet but will be reading it shortly. I recall Phoenix1 mentioning that he has read them, so I'm sure he will have something to say about them soon...:)

what Ive heard is that it`s really hard to really know if those are the real ones
even if they really exist... or that the translation of them is correct.
but who knows.

The emerald tablets (or hermetica) were linked to alchemy and astrology, some say they were the foundations of both these movements. It is the most sacred document of western occultism.
" AS ABOVE SO BELOW" refers to the mirocosm and macosm (the universe and the human are essentially made of the same ingredients...star stuff) from what I remember.....
Alchemy, is basically the origin of all science especially chemistry, whereas the old alchemists were supposed to have been concrned with transmuting base metals into gold ( the philosopher stone/ elixer) when in actuality, they were trying to uncover the secrets of the soul, alchemy became the transmutation of base knowledge into the gold of soul wisdom.
Will have to look up my old essay on it to go further nto detail, but i urge you to read more on it....it's worth it!!:)

The idea that its held these days within the Ark of the Covenant is fascinating although not proven as pure fact freemasons hold Thoth in high regard also.

There is also a being who maybe be responsible for the creation of the Tablet but it is held up in a mythos not considered vaild but the Name is Azathoth here is a link explaining the connection to thoth.

yes, if legit, one of the most important documents of all time.. shows that they knew of cellular structure, "spaceships", disintegration weaponry is described, "threats from the deep (of space)", atlantis.. etc..

There are numerous similarities between this document and the doctrines of Freemasonry. I understand much of what it says, but I do think there are some doubts about its age, authenticity and translation.:cool:

Seems like a lot connection to Alchemy.
