A suppose the simpsons movie would be laoded with symbolisms, but here's one that I picked out because there might be more to it:

The reason being, because of the names involved, "homer" (poet) and "abraham" (biblical), as well as the lion, two pillars and the destroyed ancient roman type building.

What story do you think might this be telling?

Feel free to discuss the new movie as well, there are some interesting things in it.
